This is a really fun place to go. They have a lot of rides available to choose from and all you need is to buy the tickets to ride them. There is no admision fee to this place. The only downside is it does get crowded and the lines can get pretty long, especially on a hot day. The beach too can also get really crowded as well and you have to watch out that you don't accidently step on someone lying on the beach.
The Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery is really a spectacular place to visit. It is located right off the main road and they have a large parking lot available. The grounds are beautiful with even a large pergola with grapes hanging down from them. We didn't go on the tours but we did visit the store that also provides wine tasting. There were quite a lot of visitors there as well and it was just a great place to visit.
My kids really liked this place. They have a number of rides like the old cars that the kids can drive, a merry-go-around, a small roller coaster, an airplane ride and a train that goes around the park. I bought a number of tickets but after a couple of hours we were going to the rides for a second time. It's not really a big place so don't expect that you'll be spending the whole day here.
Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies is located in a shopping plaza and is a few stores from Toys 'r Us. They have a large selection of swimming pool maintenance equipment, pool chemicals and toys for the pool. They provide water testing for free too, you just need to bring a sample of your pool bottle and they can tell you if your pool needs anything to bring it's PH back to balance.
The few times I have entered the Riptide Arcade I found it to be lacking in overall excitement. There were hardly anyone playing in there but perhaps that may be good for some that don't want to have to wait to try on any of the games there I guess. But for me I found that to be a turn-off because I like the atmosphere busy and exciting.
I found out about this place from a friend who lived in Berkeley and was amazed at how inexpensive their merchandise were. And, they sell high quality gear not cheap, nameless brands at a deeply discounted price. Their merchandise are very organized in cubicles as well so finding things is easy.
Silver Treasures is a little shop selling metal jewelry, mailnly silver but some gold of lower grade quality. The place usually has a lot people looking through their glass cases at their jewelry but I found their jewelry common and not at all appeailing, I certainly did not find any treasures here.
Only San Francisco is a little shop that sells souvenir memorabillia of San Francisco. It is really catered towards tourists and have a large selection of souvenirs to choose from like clothing, decorative items, mugs, and even jewelry. And, like all shops that cater toward tourists their merchandise tend to be overpriced.
The Aquarium of the Bay is definitely smaller than the Monterey Bay aquarium since all it is is a glass tube that you go through and see the see creatures from within the tube. But it was pretty neat to see all the creatures almost surrounding you from the sides and above. Unfortunately my daughter cried when she saw the sharks swimming around so close like they were just on top of you.
Houdini's Magic Shop is a really cool place to browse around in especially with kids young and old who love magic. They have a large selection of items for magic tricks and it is really fun to check out how each magic trick is accomplished. The sales staff a very friendly and are more that willing to perform a sample of a magic trick.
