This place has it all, from small jewish stuff to bigger jewish stuff. Seriously, there is so much good stuff here for affordable prices, along with great options for customization, it's really the best place to go to get a quick gift for almost any occasion. Top it off with the super-nice proprietors, who make shopping a pleasure (and no, I'm not biased)!
PROS: great stuff, affordable prices
CONS: no pizza
Those break-apart challah roles that are dripping with oil.
This is good stuff, plain and simple.
When my wife first started buying Goldman's challahs, I was a bit skeptical. After a few weeks, I was won over. There challahs have the right combination between traditional texture and gourment baking. Delicious.
Mama Leah's has good pizza. It's good pizza shop pizza. Good salads, although the ceaser dressing is a bit funky. The homemade french fries are to die for.
Wasserman's is to Kosher Meat what Picasso was to Art - really good. Some of the best hot dogs I have ever had. Very helpful in getting wings together for a football game as well.
Kosher Bite has done an admmirable job of taking a small-time burger joint and growing into an international food extravaganza. American, Israeli, Chinese and Russian food (not sure what Russian food is, though...), and all in all decent food. Great wine selections as well. Good on the go.
PROS: Secret Sauce
CONS: Bathroom floors
