Building Rainbows Day School
The staff was more than willing to help my son adjust to childcare center. His teacher is wonderful and keeps me well informed of what my son is doing. I am so glad I found an environment that my son is able to learn in. He has learned a lot in such a search time. I would recommend this to anyone.
The only downfall is that it does cost more than some places, but this is well worth the money we put into it.
Newk's Express Cafe
Newks is a great place. The salads are huge that you end up taking it home. The chicken salad sandwich is awesome. Everytime I am in the area I make a stop there.
Fadi's Mediterrain Grill
I was a little weary of eating Mediterraining Food, but let me tell you this is an awesome place. Very clean and the staff is willing to suggest things to try.
Texas Body Art
I have never been in a tattoo parlor before, but this was probably one of the cleanist businesses I have ever seen. The people were great in offering suggestions and being helpful in what to get. The prices seem reasonable. The instruments were sterile. The tattoo artist wear gloves, and the area was just neat and orderly. They were very aware that this was my first tattoo and explained to get something small, just incase I do regret getting one, however, this was on of my better choices. They give you directions in taking care of the tattoo. Loved it. If I wanted another tatttoo, I would definitely go back there again.
Once Upon A Child
I finally have gone to Once Upon a Child. It is a wonderful place to get used baby furniture at a reasonable price. They have a wide range of furniture that a new mother to be would need. They also have clothing for children up to 6x. The only problem is the parking is horrible. It is located in a very small strip center next to a widely know store. The salespeople are very helpful and will answer any questions you have. They do not accept checks, so you need a credit card or cash to buy things, but feel it is well worth the trip.
Cypress Economy Ace Hardware
I love this place. The service is great and the aisles are labeled. This is a huge store with a variety of items. They even have a small annex post office where you send off items or buy stamps. The last time I was there they were putting a grooming shop for pets in there. The staff is willing to help you with any of your needs. I would recommend this particular ACE to everyone. The parking is great and this is an accessible place from the main road.
The main reason I went there was for the post office and ended up leaving with items for my mini garden. This ACE is different from other stores, is that the people actually try to get to know you and remember you when you come back to visit their store
Dollar Tree
The Dollar Tree is a great place for dollar items. The price is great. The parking is great, but the store itself is very hard to move around in. When the store is very busy the aisle are small. So if you have a buggy it is hard to go down the aisle with someone else and a buggy. I would recommend the store, but just be prepared for waiting to go down an aisle. Also at times they have their inventory in boxes in the aisle which makes it hard also.
99 Cents Only Stores
99 cent store has tons of items. They are located in a great place for easy access of the main road, and there is tons of parking. I would recommend this store. The best time is to go during the early morning before noon. Not as busy and you can get in and out of the store no problem. They are always stocked. There is only one thing though, if you find something you like there on time, it might be several months before you find it again. I am not sure how they get there stock in but sometimes you have to stock up on things because you might never see it again. The service there is ok, but for items being only 99 cents what do you expect.
Men's Wearhouse
Great place for tuxs. As soon as you walk in your are greeted and asked if you need help. The customer service here is awesome. When needing to be measure and altered the staff makes it easy and relaxing. The prices on rental for wedding tux's for the groom and the groomsmen are great. You can sometimes run into deals. When returning the tux's the staff makes it easy as snapping your fingers. The location is great because it is in the same area is a brides shop, and easy access to other stores in the area. I would definitely recommend this store to everyone.
Mercer Arboretum & Botanic
Mercer is great. This is a large botanical garden that is beautiful. It is located in Humble, but well worth the drive. They do have a little building to go inside to ask questions. The flowers are beautiful and are labeled so you can actually take your kids out there and learn about the different trees and flowers. This is absolutely free which makes it even better. When you go the parking is free to. Easy to access from Aldine Westfield RD. The gardens are kept very clean, and you can usually see a worker or two.
