All That Blooms is a full-service florist. I have only gone in and purchased flowers cash-and-carry, but they also have delivery service. I was very happy with the quality of the flowers I purchased- they smelled great and lasted a long time. The prices were good, and they are in a location that is convenient to me. The lady that helped me was friendly and put together a nice arrangement with the stems I had chosen.
I couldn't tell you what kind of work this company does, because they never called me back. I called to get an estimate on some wiring, and left a phone number, and never received a return call. Not a great first impression.
Teak Warehouse has a really nice selection of teak items, including a lot of outdoor and patio furniture. Dining tables and chairs, adirondacks, chaise, etc. They advertise up to 70% off of retail, but basically I think that just means that it brings the prices down to a reasonable level. They did have a few bargains, but the draw here is a huge selection.
Pizzaioli is a great little restaurant over in the Spectrum. They offer a very nice selection of pastas, chicken dishes, steaks, chops, and other dishes. They have a great wine list, which would make sense since the owner also owns a wine shop over on Central. I recommend the Pollo alla Carciofi (or something like that), which is a yummy chicken dish (artichokes, sundried tomatoes, garlic, over fettuccine)!
Ed's does all kinds of glass and also mirror replacement. I called them to replace a broken window in a car, and they did a great job, the next day, for a lot less than going back to the car dealer. They offer 24-hour service if you need it right away.
There are lots of carpet cleaners out there, but this one specializes in water damage. They offer 24 hour emergency service, so if you pipes break in the middle of the night and need help right away, these guys will be there for you. They do a great job of cleanup and drying your carpet so you don't get mold problems. These services can get expensive, but are likely covered by your homeowners insurance.
Nobody wants to go to an emergency room, but I woke up one morning with a fever of 102 and white spots all over my throat, and I couldn't get in to see my doctor, so I went here. They saw me within 20 minutes of arriving, and then I saw a doctor within another few minutes. He diagnosed my problem, gave me a prescription, and sent me on my way. This was definitely the fastest visit I've had in any ER.
Jon's is both a fresh fish market and casual restaurant, and I have purchased both prepared and raw fish here. I like this place because it's right next to the beach, so it's a great place to get some fish or shrimp to go and carry it back to eat on the beach. I have purchased fish from their market and taken it home to prepare, and it has been good quality and seemed fresh. It will cost you a bit more than buying at your local grocery store, but it's probably fresher than they get, plus this place is on the water, so you have a nice view walking here that you wouldn't get a Ralphs or Albertsons!
Unfortunately, I had to call this company to come take care of some plumbing problems I had. Dave from Enright did a great job of fixing my problem (pipe broke) the same day, and the cost was reasonable. He did a great job and wouldn't hesititate to call them again.
Dr. Hardeman is part of the Western Pulmonary Medical Group in Fullerton. I recommend him because I think he is a very skilled pulmonologist. He was recommended to me by another doctor as being one of the top guys to see in this field. He seems to really care about his patients, and his office staff is wonderful. Once in a while I have to wait a bit for appointments, but that's the only downside to this office.
