This is a very unusual clothing store. They carry all sorts of funky and odd clothing, generally I tend to find very little to purchase, but its a fun browse right in Old Town. They carry many small accessories and similar items but tend to run out of popular sizes quickly.
Similar to "Encore" this store has very high quality designer dresses. I usually go to both stores on the same day if I am looking for a dress for an event. You will not be finding any cheap, worn dresses, only top of the line designers and very new looking clothing. Well stocked, quick turnover.
While this is a consignment store, its no Salvation Army. You'll find some very high end coutoure dresses and suits here. Do not expect to find any $30 bargains, but you will pay a good price for some very fancy designer dresses, at less than 70% off the list prices at dept stores. Most look like they have been worn once or twice. Quality stuff.
This is not my style of store, but I have been there countless times with my friend. They carry a lot of unusual clothing, large inventory that changes often. I never seem to find anything I like in my size, but many of their items are very new with the tags still on there. Most of the stuff is decently priced but jackets are sometimes more expensive than (I think) they should be since you can find similar at TJ Maxx etc.
Excellent tailor and seamstress, I have used them for many years - as have many members of my family. They have recently increased prices, but they are still very fast and very good. You won't find any pulled seams here! This is not a dry cleaner/tailor, all they do is tailoring and it makes their work very high quality. Highly recommended, usually charge about $10 for hemming pants, and $25 for a jacket (sleeves) - they can get your item finished in a few hours if you need it.
I have had tune ups, small problems fixed, oil changes, etc all done at this service center. They are very honest, if a little pricier than other places. HOwever you know that they are trustworthy and will not act as though your engine is falling apart if you don't do an additional $5000 in work or whatever. I recommend them but they are pricey.
A great local farmer's market with all sorts of pies, baked goods, donuts and jams! They have the best local honey and jams, from places in all of West virginia, they also have a lot of local wines, etc. They also have the BEST apple pie that you bake at home, oh yum!
While this florist had come highly recommended by both friends and online wedding websites, I was not very happy with the service I received there. It seemed that they were only interested in doing very traditional type weddings and so were not my style of florist at all. They do have a beautiful store and nice photos, but very very traditional style.
Wonderful bakery with European style baked goods including delicious Italian style cakes and petit fours. I believe they also sell sandwiches, and bread, but their real forte is the delcious tarts and cakes. Delicious
A large antique store in the heart of Winchester, well known place, but it is NOT the place to find bargains! I was shocked by how expensive everything is, and I felt like there was a little more junk than usual (I felt) such as old bottles, whisks, etc. They do have a large store, a big area for tables, chairs, armoires, all sorts of similar furniture and items.
