Jackson Court Bed & Breakfast
What I liked best about Jackson Court is that it was near the water. This is a 3-star hotel but it costs a whopping $180 per night. I think this hotel could easily pass as a two star, my stay wasn't exactly extraordinary. The staff here was alright. They have complimentary breakfast, which I enjoyed. Will I stay here again? Eh, I'll think about it.
Renoir Hotel
I have never stayed at such a terrible hotel. There was no freaking air conditioning! The service was alright, but I've had better. The room was kind of big I guess. The location kind of sucked, there were lots of homeless people around the hotel. But I guess that's what you get for staying in a big city. On the bright side, the rates here stay low.
Hotel Bijou
The elevators and the hotel in the pictures looked much nicer. There was pretty good service here though. The restaurant here was pretty good too. The room was small and not very cozy, and the bathroom was small too. I liked that there were few disturbances during the night. Only about $140 a night though. Probably won't stay here again.
The Pickwick Hotel
This hotel isn't too bad, considering it is a 2.5 star hotel. The rooms are pretty clean and comfy, what more can you ask for? The beds aren't bad. The service here is pretty good. What I didn't like was the location though--there were a lot of homeless people here, which kind of creeped me out. Maybe stay a hotel in a different location?
Sheehan Hotel
In my opinion, this hotel is a little pricey for a 2-star. It is about $150 a night, but you can find a decent 3.5 star for that money here. The rooms here were small and old, which sucked. This hotel is worse than your average Best Western, I won't lie. This hotel is located in a pretty good location though. I probably won't return unless the rates go down dramatically.
Galleria Park Hotel
The Galleria Park Hotel isn't totally horrible. The staff is helpful and the service here is rather impressive. This hotel is located in a great place. The food at the restaurant here was exquisite. I could actually sleep during the night too (no disturbances). We might stay here again if we go to San Francisco.
Cathedral Hill Hotel
I did not like the location that this hotel was in, it kind of creeped me out (it is at the center of the city though, maybe I am just not used to big cities?). The service was pretty good. The rooms were clean, but fairly small. The pool wasn't bad. I probably won't stay here again though.
