This adorable store sells clothing for children. It is one of the newest additions to Stanford Shopping Center and is filled with apparel, toys, and accessories for your little ones. They have some great quality items. My least favorite part about the store is its return policy because you only get store credit. Prices are pretty high as well.
Leaf and Petal has an amazing selection of women?s clothing?just don?t forget to bring your wallet. Clothing here is very expensive, so don?t expect to pay less than $100 for, well, anything. Their Spring line is great and they have gorgeous, colorful dresses. The dressing rooms could use doors instead of curtains. The staff is friendly but not overbearing.
Modernbook is not your standard book store. This is a store/gallery with a terrific selection of architecture books and some of the greatest CDs. The art in the gallery is very tasteful and well-chosen. While it doesn't have as many books as Borders and some other big book stores, all of the books are truly wonderful, and prices are reasonable as well.
Shopping at the Cardinal Bicycle Shop makes life that much easier. The store sells good, solid bikes. The staff here is amazing--attentive and very helpful. The employees answered all of my questions and let my try out several bikes before I finally ended up buying one, for a reasonable price. Parking was a little difficult, but I will still never go anywhere else!
JJ&F is a family owned grocery store in the College Terrace neighborhood. The meat is delicious and fresh there. The selection of cheeses is fantastic and the produce is always fresh. The store is generally more expensive than Safeway, so I usually only go here if I forget to buy something. The place is never crowded and this store actually makes me like grocery shopping.
This is the place to go to for sports equipment. The store is quite large and you can buy a snowboard, bindings, and boots for under $500. The store has a great selection and very affordable prices. The service here is amazing and the staff is very courteous and helpful. You can also buy some other stuff here, such as North Face jackets for cheap.
Rooster T?s is not big, but it?s still an okay comedy club. I usually go there after work. The food isn?t that good and the comedians are usually mediocre, and I usually end up laughing at the comics, not their jokes. The admission costs $15, so it?s pretty affordable. This place also occasionally sends out free passes to locals.
Morrison School Supplies has everything that a teacher might ever need. The store sells workbooks, paper, many kinds of paper for projects, markers, paints, and the like. The staff is usually helpful. The prices here are definitely not cheap, especially for someone with a teacher?s salary. Parking is quite convenient however.
I have purchased several hams and turkeys here over the years. I have to say, their meat is all delicious. Their hams and turkeys are in high demand during the holiday season (as well as Thanksgiving and Easter) and their lines are very long during those times of year. I am still willing to put up with it all because their meat really is that good.
Chanthone is a terrific hair stylist! A bunch of my friends are now asking me about her and are now going to get their hair styled by her as well. Her work is very impressive and I have never liked my hair until I found her. The prices here are pretty expensive, but I think it is worth it in my opinion.
