Dlx Skateboards & Clothing
This store is your typical, nothing special, skateboarding store. They have a good selection of boards, shoes and an alright selection of clothing. The guys that work there are, of course, too cool to help you, but you can find most of what you are looking for there. Also, Delux is based out of SF so you run the chance of seeing some pros when you go in.
Kids Only
This place is really good if you are looking for a gift for yet another one of your friends who is getting married and pregnant. They actually have little baby ACDC and Bob Marley shirts that are to die for. They have all sizes and you are sure to find something for everyone's baby that you know. Some things are expensive, but you can find some good deals here as well.
John Fluevog Shoes
This shoe store is a shoeys heaven. John Fluevog makes some of the most recognizable designs out right now and they actually are very durable shoes. The boots will last forever and the heels will last just about as long. The prices are really high, but it is worth it if you find a pair of shoes that you will love forever and will probably outlive you.
Villains-Clothing-Shoes-Acces
This store is the pinnacle of trendy in San Francisco. They have all the big name designers and the small name designers who will be big in the near future. Everything is expensive and you are sure to drop some cash, but it is good to look. Also, they have some great accessories and purses.
Isabel Shoes Llc
This place has a good selection of shoes that you wouldn't find anywhere else. It is fun to just go in and look around as it could cost you quite a bit to actually buy anything. If you are in the market for unique shoes and have money to blow gisit Isabel Shoes for sure.
American Conservatory Theater
This theater and company are one of the best in the world. I was able to catch a showing of "The Mood for the Misbegotten" and it was really boring. Although this was boring the theater is gorgeous and the acting was really good. This place is a great place to take a date and impress them with your worldliness and cultural awareness
Yoga Loft
This place is really a good studio and located centrally in Western Addition. There are not too many yoga studios or gyms in the area and this one is great! The atmosphere is healthy and peaceful and the teachers are knowledgeable and easy to work with. I would recommend going to checking out a class, drop in is only $14 and they have changing specials by season.
Funky Door Yoga Midtown
My friend drug me to this place to take my first Bikrim yoga class, IT WAS TORTURE. The heat is completely out of control and the teacher was pushing too hard. This is definitely not the place that you want to go if you want to relax. This is like the Marine Corps of yoga. I would not go back unless I was paid a fair amount of money
Yoga Tree
This place is a great small yoga studio. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and there is no sense of competition here, which is good. The Monday night class with Karl Erb is really great for decompression and body work. I would highly recommend checking it out. Also, they offer a really wide variety of disciplines and teachers, you are bound to find one you like.
Madrone
This place is usually hopping with trendy and happening people who are there to have a good time. They have great infused vodka cocktails and a full bar for anything that you would want. They always have something going on in the way of art and music and the crowd is really laid back.
