This place is known for being very cheap and quick. If you come in for an appointment you can sit down pick a color and they will be ready for you in about 10 minutes. The prices are very cheap which kind of makes me thing actualy. I think its something like $7 for a manicure and $15 for a pedicure.) The polish doesnt last as long as it does at other places but it lasts a fair amount of time. Everyone is very nice and theplace is very clean. Check it out.
One of my friends likes jewelery making so I wanted to buy her something nice. I went here. I was really pleased with their great selection of beads, chains, wires, strings, etc. The quality was very good. Some of the pieces were getting very expensive though (as they do in specialty stores like this) But i was still very happy when I left. Great store for other projects too!
This place can get you in style. They sell the latest trendy clothing. The store is nice, big and clean and has a lot of stuff. The prices really vary greatly; some stuff is really affordable and cheap and still looks good but then you can also have some really expencive pieces that I wouldnt really buy because of the price. They have a great purse section too, all kinds of styles, shapes and sizes. Everything is very organized and it kind of makes you want to shop!
This place has been around for a while (since the 50's I think) so you can trust them. I dont live in San Francisco so when I'm there its nice to grab a bite to eat. This is a good place to do just that. Just walk in and they cant make you a really delicious sandwich right there. I haven't bought anything else there so I dont really know. But its perfect to grab a bite to eat. AND, a really good thing is that there is always parking unlike other parts of San Francisco, so this is kind of a hassle- free alternative.
Well, you can kind of tell by the name what this store is all about. Kites! In San Francisco China town of course. This store is small but beautiful. The kites are really cool. All different types and since you are in China town they are pretty cheap (although it really depends on which one you are looking at.) A definite disadvantage is that the employees don't really speak English that well so it makes things hard since they just nod their head and smile at you. But really cool kites, check it out if you're in China town even if you are not in the market for a kite.
This is a bad San Francisco Elementary school, I would NOT recommend it! Most of the pupils are Spanish speaking (some barely speak English and others its their second language.) Communication with the students can get pretty hard for the teachers so the teachers kind of get frustrated and the school just doesnt get very good test scores. You can tell that a lot of parents dont even seem to care which doesnt create a very good learning environment. No recommendation ofr this one.
Im on Geary a lot since there are come really good stores and my dentist is there and then I noticed this place. Its really small but very hard to miss because of its merchandice. Its all colorful and it has a lot of Hello Kitty stuff. This is kinda of a Japanese stationary store with pretty papers, stickers, markers, etc. and I was told that "Kawaii" actually means something like "cute." And it definitly is cute. Great for little kids.
This store is located in the San Francisco China town. I didnt actually buy anything here but I went in with my friend just because we were walking around and just browsing. They had cds and dvds of Asina media. I glanced and the prices were actually quiete reasonable. The shop was small but had a lot of stuff in it (so it was kind of a tight squeeze going through it.) But if you are interested in this sort of thing, I think that this is a really good place to go.
This store sells very good quality furniture. They have a decent selection and you can basically find any piece of furniture you are looking for. Its a medium sized store so its nicely spaced and easy to browse through. The prices are really kind of high though so I have never actually boughten anything here, just too pricy for me. I remember I was looking at this nice wooden drawer cabinet and it was like $350, Im just too cheap to spend that much on a cabinet. But if you have money to spend, I definitly think this would be a good place for you since their stuff is actually really nice.
I actually lived in Menlo Park for a number of years and just now I noticed this little store next to the McDonalds. Was it always there? i dont know, maybe its just one of those little places that you don't really notice. Anyways I went in because recently I have been really interested in antique shops so I was quiete nicely surprised to find this little place. It was really nice a quiete, just a couple of people walking around. The shop didnt really have much because it was so small. But the nice thing was that everything was kind of open and you didnt have to search through lots of dusty junk to get to something good. I would recommended this place to the antique seeker.
