77 Maiden Lane Salon & Spa
Ok, all I have to say is wow This place is an awesome place to go to indulge yourself in full everything, head toes, body message and thearapy. They pampered you in a way no other place can. The service is top notch! They have wonderful stylist and makeup consulatants that are very nice and very friendly, willing to answer and teach you all you need to know. They have a line of makeup and skin/hair care also available to purchase and ohhh it is soooo good!!!
Currents
Currents is a beautiful and very frangrance store. You come in and all these different scents hit you. Very interesting and very nice! The shop is relatively small, but everything is so well place that you dont feel clutter at all! The staff is nice and friendly when you come to the check out. There is so many different soaps, I believe all made in san Francisco, sold by the slice (very cute, my fav. Is the ducky!), along with a variety of bath teas and oil in little buckets. They have tons of different color and style of stuff here and it is so much fun to play with all these soaps and shape oils!!
A Total You
The Total You offers has a lot of selection of skin care services that includes waxing and facial and skin treatments!! This is a very small but personalize salon that is very relaxing and very nice. The people are really sweet and helpful and fit in perfectly with the atmosphere of a quiet salon that feels very exclusive but comfy! I really enjoy this place, because it takes care of all of you :P
Sylvan Music
The guy here is very nice and very willing to help you. The place is kind of crowded with all the music insturments and replacement parts all around. They carry a lot of music books and also do repairs and trade-in. i liked it because it was among the only places you can go to rent one insturments for a very affordable price. Although you have to seek out the service people, I thought it had charm.
Mystery Spot
This is the coolest place to go!! The Mystery Spot of Santa Cruz is so weird, and entertaining!! You can walk from one area and look very tall, but at the next round, you look really short and you can seem like your tilting one way, its just weird,but so fun to check out and the tours and history of the place is great! I highly recommend going on the tour where they explain what is going on to you, the guides are very knowledgable and very friendly!! Fun, Crazy place ^_^
Glass Gallery
This place has such beautiful glassware and sculptures. Among the best place to look at all the variety of stuff that santa cruz has to offer. This glass gallery is among the only places that is devoted to paperweights and the artistic styling of them. A charm to walk through and look at all the colors and style there is. This place has lots of information on these wonderful Paperwieghts, and is truly artistic. Very cozy and easy to walk through and learn at your own pace.
Gabriellas Skin Spa
My first year of Santa Cruz, our whole dorm went here for a wonderful naked/tub treatment!! It was so much fun to come here with a bunch of friends and get relaxing hot spa and sauna treatment. The staff was very nice and very discreet, so no weird people looking at you. It is very affordable even for college students!! Lots of nice people and a great atmosphereic place to go and enjoy a quick spa treatment!
Santa Cruz Surf Shop
Not as easily accessible as many of the other surf store, this place rates an ok from me. Although they had a lot of different surf boards, long and short, I didnt feel like they knew what they were talking about. The staff ignores you at the beginning and until you flag someone down to get you what you need, it overall wasnt a great experience.
O'Neill Inc
I love ONeill!! They have great clothing and accessories for you gals out there who like to surf and swim. Very cute guys and girls work here and they are very fun to talk to and compare stories with. Ask for a recommendation for where to surf, and they can give you tons of ideas and paces to go. Check out their swim wear, very very cute at a great price! I really liked everyone here!
Pacific Wave
The perfect place to carry all the surfing supplies and other general accessories for all the sporting goods. This place not only carry stuff for the avid surfer, but also a lot of stuff for people who are posing to be surfers. They have a lot of nice shell jewelry and roxy stuff. I like this place because it was so convenient to get here from campus and within walking distance of the a lot of other stores. The beach is close by so no long drive to get from here to the waves.
