The CD Exchange is a neat place to get used and new cd's. I go there to bring my old cd's in and turn them into cash which I then turn around and buy my new favorites. They give you a reasonable amount of cash towards your used cd's and the music selection is huge. Its in a convenient part of town, and there is ample parking.
The drive in is a great place to watch a movie under the stars. It brings back the memories of the old days. The screens are huge so everyone has a good view. I like that you can stay and watch two movies for the price of one! The bathrooms are clean and close by, and the consession stand offers anything from pizza to burgers, coke to coffee and hot cocoa. The prices are a little high, but at least you're getting hot food instead of $5 movie theater candy.
Borders has a huge selection of books. I enjoy going there to relax and browse through the books. They have a nice section of bargain books and I can easily find a book on the tables for everyone in my family. The coffee is great at the cafe and the employees are always on the floor looking to help people find books. They have an excellent selection of children / parenting books and the prices are reasonable.
Comix Cafe is a great place to let loose and enjoy a night of fun and laughter. The comedians are very funny with my favorite being J Medicine Hat. When he comes to town make sure you get your tickets early! The shows fill up fast. There is a lot of parking, the prices are a little pricey, I dont like that everyone must purchase $5 worth of food or beverage, the meals are mediocre so I usually just end up getting a refillable soda to keep the glass. I've won many tickets being picked from the bowl, so I gues the $5 isnt really too worth of me complaining huh? lol
I travel alot for my business, and frequently stay at Holiday Inns. This is the best one I've stayed in. They have a very nice size heated pool, a nice restaurant with an array of dishes to choose from. It has a fitness room, and even a playground for the kids. I used my premier points to stay a few nights with my family and we all enjoyed getting away for the weekend. Its conveneintly located next to the expressway and close to the thruway. The housekeeping was always there first thing in the mornign and did a great job upkeeping our room.
My father in law took the whole family to a sunday buffet last september. It was delicious. The waitress was very effiecient and catered to our needs. There was 12 in our party and she kept up with the buffet plates and refilling our coffee. The food was very good, everything was kept warm and the cinnamon rolls were my favorite. There was even boxed cereal that my children loved to snack on. The Inn is inviting and the decor is old country/victorian style. We all left with full bellies and cant wait to go back this september for thier anniversary again.
I go monthly to get my prescriptions and am always pleased with the quick and friendly service. After just 3 months they knew my name from memory and are always there to help with questions or concerns I may have. With my family of 5 the new color code system is so helpful and very original if i might say so. Its easy to set up my cupborads with the medicine now by each famly members prescriptions.
I ordered my wedding cake from Etna Bakery 8yrs ago and have been a customer ever since. They are very professional and helped my husband and I select the perfect wedding cake. The cakes are wonderful and so sweet. I've since ordered many birthday cakes and pastries and am always so pleased. It takes about 20minutes for me to get there but its so worth the drive!!
Cheesy Eddies is THE place to go for an extraordinary cheesecake. They are so rich in flavor and so fresh. They take custom orders over the phone and you can pick up your order the next day. They are reasonabley priced and very delicious. The only thing I dont like is the neighborhood its in and the parking on the street.
Everyone knows what Perkins is, there food is good, but at this particular restaurant, the service is very poor. Once we were waiting for a table for over 20 minutes. Once we got to our seat we waited another 10 for our waitress to greet us and take our order. The sandwiches we ordered were sloppy and it took 20min for the order to come out. This was around 8pm and hardly anyone was in the place. I wont be going back there anytime soon.
