Strehmanns is located off a busy Jefferson Road, its hard to get in and most people dont even know its there. They are expanding and the parking lot is atrocious. You can however get a good deal, but watch those expiration dates!
I visited Hostess thift shop many times and was very dissapointed when I drove up and found out that they were closed for good. I always was able to find great deals on breads and snack cakes. The guy with the grey hair was always so friendly and helpful.
I dont shop much at Tops for my groceries, but when its someones birthday, I purchase cakes here. They even offer a 1st birthday cake for FREE. The cakes are delicious and you can choose from different fillings, or frostings. The employee there is an older woman and she is always helpful in helping me decide on what cake size to buy. Thier other bakery items are just as yummy!
I have been to a few of Millers services and the funeral home is very homey and comforting. The chapel is very nice, with the stained glass. Its such a tremendous difference from the old mount hope parlor. They have much more parking and the funeral director is very accommodating.
Dots has really low prices, most people think thier getting a bargain here, but after wearing the clothes a few times threads start unraveling and they fall apart. Its upsetting that I used my hard earned money and then it went to waste. The sales clerks are not always helpful, and the store is messy.
This Dress Barn has a big plus size selection. Its hard to find a store with stylish plus size clothing. The prices are average, some a little higher than I'd like them to be. It'd be nice if there were more stores around the rochester area.
Talbots is a nice store to buy casual to dressy items. They have an array of jewelry, hoisery, and accesories. The sales clerks are always on the floor asking if you need help. The clothes are made high quality and are always in the latest fashion styles. Its located in the village of pittsford near the canal. They have a large parking lot so you're sure to get a good space.
The Rugged Bear is such a nice store. It has very nice and helpful employees. The store is always clean and bright. I bought winter snow pants for my kids there. they were pricey at $30 something dollars a piece but the quality lasted through 3 of my children. They specialize in high end clothing.
Aarons Alley is in a very artistic area of the town, the store is ver unique. It has alot of bohemian / hippie styles and everything is eccentric there. The clothes are funky and you can bet that when you wear thier clothing you will get nice comments.
I went to small wonders to consign a few of my dresses and childrens clothing. I left feeling I would make a decent ammount of money, and when my items did sell I got penny's for them. I wouldve made much more if i just put them on ebay. I wont be doing that ever again. On the upside, I have found some nice name brand clothes that are like new for a fraction of thier retail price.
