They did a good job cleaning out the three flues. Service was on time and courteous. Prices were good to excellent compared to other companies I called for quotes. The only thing that bothered me is that they tried to point out things that they said needed repair that didn't in the hopes of getting more money out of me. I wasn't too thrilled about that - but they didn't push too hard when I said "no thanks".
On three occasions I have visited this store. The first time I was looking for tile for my bathroom and entry way. The only sales associate was preoccupied and didn't really want to help me. Everything I looked at was ridiculously expensive. The second time I went there, I was looking for carpet. Again, I found the staff to be almost rude and couldn't get anyone to assist me. The third time I was inquiring about Pergo (and at this point I have no idea why I even gave them a chance at my business) and was completely ignored. Why would I want no service and flooring that costs 5 times what it does at Home Depot or Lowes?????
Located on Rt. 322 in Plantsville (Southington), this store is easy to find and has plenty of parking. The prices are very high compared to Toys R Us/Babies R Us but the merchandise is also different. If you're on a tight budget - this isn't the place to shop. The merchandise and furniture are higher quality that what you find as mass market retailers - but that is reflected in the price. If you are looking for high quality items and money isn't an issue - then you'll love this store. The staff seem helpful and courteous.
We took our certification course with Scuba Shack. The dive instructors are top notch! They keep the classes small (there were 3 in my class) and give you individual attention. At the time I took my classes, they were held at the YMCA in Hartford. I would have preferred a better (and safer) location as my car was stolen out of the parking lot while I was in the pool. The prices on equipment are very high - but they only carry good quality stuff.
If you're a serious artist making serious money - I suppose it would be OK to shop here. They do carry high quality items - but the prices are astronomical! Unfortunately, there aren't many other places to buy non mass-market art items. The staff are rather aloof. Parking is easy (especially since you'll probably be the only one in the store!). I really don't know how they even stay in business!
This is a large facility - much larger than other stores in the area. The selection is pretty good - but the quality of the furniture here is on the fair to medium side. Don't expect any finely made pieces! Prices are OK when they have sales - but otherwise about the same as competitors. The location is right off of Queen Street - but there aren't any signs on Queen street itself.
There is a big carousel for the kids to play on.
No high pressure sales tactics and the prices are competitive. In the back of the store, there is an area called "the pit" where you can find mismatched items, scratch and dent, etc. at bargain basement prices. No gimmicks!
Everyone loves the snack area - complimentary candy, cookies and lemonade. They have several cafe tables to sit down and relax and enjoy a snack.
I purchased one car here. The sales process was fine - but pretty middle of the road. The service department was good. During the two years I had the car, the same employees were there (low turnover). My car was always fixed within the timeframe stated and I never had to bring it back because the job wasn't done correctly. Pricing was on the high side - but almost all dealerships are expensive.
We shopped at many Ford dealerships when looking for our most recent vehicle. Many dealerships didn't want to budge on price since this vehicle was in very high demand (and was always ruled out of all promotions since it sold itself). Crowley was the one place that would come down in price and offered me the highest trade in for my VW (because they have a VW dealership next door). The building is new and the service department is spotless!
I just love Pralines! They have over 2 dozen flavors of ice cream - some fantastic flavors! They also have soft serve and pies and cakes. Their sunday selection is amazing - or you can custom mix your own combination. They have dozens of toppings and very fresh wipped cream - probably the freshest you'll ever have. The line can be long - but it moves quickly.
