If you want truly world class dermatological care, Dermatology Associates, located on the 5th Floor in the Wang Building at Mass. General Hospital, is the place to go.
The place features some most top tier physicians in this field.
They offer in house treatments for eczema, and minor surgical care as well as extremely thorough all over skin checks beginning in your first initial exam.
I highly recommend doing a little more research on this practice to really see the credentials of the physicians that practice here. You will not be disappointed!
They accept all major insurances and offer concenient re-payment plans sponsered through the MGH"s financial assistance program.
Be prepared to wait 3-6 months for an initial consultation.
PROS: High-class care, extremely knowledgeable and practiced staff
CONS: long waiting period for initial appt.
After searching high and low for a great day care for my dog and coming up short, I was referred to this place., much to my relief!
it's pretty small, but the yard is huge for all of the doggies and its super clean. Its also a dog shoppe, a groomers, a trainers, and a boarding facility! and don't worry, your dogs are always supervised!
The staff truly knows and loves dogs! and they are just as excited about the dog owners! Every one is super friendly and super happy to be there..
The prices are fantastic! $20/day but its only $45.00 for 3 days!!!
Your dog will be in safe and loving hands at Doggieritaville!!!
PROS: Friendly, Knowledgeable staff, great overall enviroment
CONS: Wish they had transport
If you looking for a dog day care of boarding the Everett/ Malden area, you have probably noticed that there are pretty slim pickings right now.
My family currently used the Common Dog, and I feel that, had we more options just as convenient for us, we would go elsewhere.
Our dog is happy to be in day care as he's an active pooch and this place keeps him running all day, however, the owner's a bit dry. She makes complaints about his active personality and he is completely NON-agressive and he's a puppy. Of course he's going to be active!!! It makes me wonder how much they actually know about dogs....
As for the facilities...well, its clean and the dogs are supervised and allowed to play in groups. My dog was injured and needed stitches though, because they were not watching him closely enough, and they did not conduct a thorough enough personality assessment of a new dog and he attacked my little guy. They also did not seek immediate medical attention for my dog's injury and instead waited around and then called my stepmother at work.
The prices are comparable, a bit high for a place I feel just so-so about.
PROS: Clean facilities, the dogs are happy here
CONS: so-so service, questionable knowledge about dogs and the business
Let me start by warning you that if you are a high class person, the Hong Kong, is NOT for you. My friends and I occasionally touch this place now and then for the delicious and enormous scorpian bowls that they boast, but really, don't bring your best Manolos anywhere near this joint!
I highly recommend this place if you are looking to cruise through the small spots all over Fanuel hall. Its a great starter place, and their scorpian bowls will leave you teetering on those 4 inch heels. You'll dance a bunch and will most likely get groped but some 21 year old, but for some reason, this place is always a good time.
Oh, and most nights, girls get in free!
***Tip: don't touch the teryaki that they'll try to sell you. Who knows how long its been sitting around. Yuck!***
PROS: Yummy scorpian bowls
My family has been going to this jewelers for decades. Jeff Bouvier, the owner, is a really friendly, down-to-earth local and I promise you, he won't stiff ya!
His pieces are all beautiful and he carries a mix of classics and new cuts. He's also open minded to custom makes, as well.
Whether its a new piece you are looking for or an older piece you'd like to have cleaned up, Bouvier's is your place to go. And the prices are well below that of the chain stores you find in the malls!
He also offers convenient payment plans.
PROS: Great place, great pieces, great prices
Make sure to make a reservation, PF Chang Reviewers are fooling aroun when they say this place is popular!
Once you wisk yourself through the revolving doors, you'll find yourself in a huge art deco/ asian style resturant. Super hip, ultimately chic, and get ready to chow. The food here is DELISH!
With every meal your get two orders of rice, brown and white. Being a rice lover, both are superb and compliment any of the meal choices. I also highly recommend their calamari!
The last time I had dinner here, we got the calamari, crab rangoon for a starter and then 4 dinners and the total was under $70 !!!
PROS: Great food, great price, hip place
CONS: Parking can be tricky
Calling all sports fans! This place is fantastic! Not being a huge sports fan myself, I frequent this place for gifts for my dad, brother and boyfriend. It has never left me down, yet!
The place is a small hole in the wall that you can easily miss just driving by. Look for Brookes Pharmacy, and its on the same side of the street right after that.
Anything sports memorobilia related, you'll find here, and everything is truly authentic...signed balls and shirts and even pieces of the old Garden. Not to mention gorgeous sportscapes and signed portraits, perfect for the sport loving bachelor!
People truly come from miles to visit this little place and it is stuffed to the gills with stuff! The owner is a real sports lover himself (obviously!) and he's happy to chat with fellow sports lovers and give them the best deal he can on all of his items.
He also gets tons of famous sports celebs to make appearances to sign autographs. I definitely suggest giving this guy a call to see what he has in store next month!
PROS: Filled with authentic sports memorobillia for great deals
CONS: Tiny place
While on vacation for my birthday, I decided to treat myself to a massage. I found this spa online, so I really didn't know what I was in for.....
It was AMAZING to the say the least! It was one of my first spa experiences, although one of hundreds of professional massages that I have received, and this ultimately takes the cake!
The location is in a gorgeous, immaculate building featuring floor to ceiling windows in every room revealing picturesque views of the river.
The first room they have you go into the "Diva" room where you are encouraged to use their massage showers and try out any of their complimentary beauty products. After adorning a pristine, cozy white robe and slippers, I am led to the waiting room: a high ceiling room with a breath-taking view and a fireplace. and don't forget to help yourself to the sparkling iced tea!
My massage was incredible! She REALLY went to work on my for the full 60 minutes and I walked out fo their feeling like a million bucks!
For that unforgettable experience, it was only $80 dollars!!!!! Well, worth it!!!
PROS: Gorgeous views, professional, super relaxing, a dream come true!
CONS: Too bad its all the way in Maine!
I received a gift certificate to this place as a gift and because it was a school, I was a little leary of using it, but I was quickly proven wrong!
For approximately $100 dollars, I received a full body massage, a full facial and eyebrow wax, a make up consultation, and a foot treatment!
Because they are students, they really worked hard do their very best, and I can honestly say I was impressed!
The only down fall to this was that your treatments are done in large rooms where other people are receiving their treatments. However, the rooms are very dim and the students take great pains in keeping the noise very, very low and, more importantly, keeping everything very private. I honestly did not even notice I was in a room with other people!
I hightly recommend this option to people who would love to get a spa treatment but who can't afford the option of a full service spa!
PROS: Very affordable and professional
CONS: Less private
If your looking for a free-everything, no frills place to do your banking, Eagle is the place for you!
They have locations in the Medford Johnny's Food Master that are open both saturday and sunday and late hours, so its very convenient to locals.
Their checking accounts are REALLY free, no hidden fees like the bigger companies.
Even though they are a smaller bank, they do offer online bill pay (free!) and online account management (also free!) They have a great little Christmas club option, too.
The only down fall to this place is that it IS a smaller bank and although the staff is professional and eager to keep their customers happy, their are certain things that bigger banks are privy to tht Eagle just can't touch. For instance, if you lose your Debit/ATM card, it takes TWO weeks to get a new one.
PROS: Free everything, convenient locations and hours
CONS: slower in a few areas than bigger banks
