If you love vintage shopping, this is the place! They have a wide selection of clothes as well as home furnishings. It is a really neat shop with a very friendly staff. You need to go often to find the best finds, as the stock changes daily. Never the same thing twice. They have low prices, so everything moves fast. Cool clothes from the 80's is what my kids look for and this store delivers one of a kind t shirts. Its a lot of fun to shop here. You never know what you will find!
Bissonnet Clock & Watch Repair
I have a heirloom watch in need of repair and was told to take it to Bissonnet watch repair. They have a long standing local reputation. I trusted the associate with something very important and was very satisfied with their services. My watch was ready as promised and its ticking again. The salesman even shared with me the background of the watch, so i learned alot as well. Very reasonably priced.
Carls Back Porch
We visited Carls Back Porch for lunch awhile back and had some great food and service. The menu is pretty simple and most people order the famous burgers. We had the Houstonian, it was fabulous! The onion rings and fries are all homemade and you have to splurge on the chocolate milkshake! This place is kind of a hole in the wall. But the food is worth it. Its as good aseveryone says it is! Prices are very reasonable.
Mrs. Gray Fortune Teller
Some friends and I stopped by Mrs. Grays Fortune telling to see what this was all about. It was a rediculous waste of time and money. Should of known that. This lady was so way off that we all just giggled on the way home. Would not go back or recommend. Very unprofessional and the disorganized home that the business runs from is unbelievable. First time for everything! And the last!
Williams Smoke House
Met friends over the weekend at Williams smoke house for lunch. They always rave about this place and we finally got to experience all the hype. WOW! I have always had my favorite b-b-q restaurant, but now I have a new one. They have huge portions and the brisket was delicious. The music was a bit loud and it was hard to hear the waitress. Other than that the place was great! easy parking, great prices and kid friendly!
Willow Park Pawn
This place is great if your out bargain hunting. We stop by occasionally because the prices are so cheap for items that are in very usable condition. The staff is always friendly and the store is organized and clean. This shop is in a nice area of town and has plenty of parking. They carry about everything you can think of from jewelry to lawn mowers, all at bottom line resale prices. We have hooked some great bargains and decided to share our little secret.
Larry's Arts & Crafts
I have been to Larrys crafts several times and am always greeted by a friendly staff. The store is very well organized and they always have what I'm looking for. I have searched high and low before in the major craft stores only to end up back at Larrys. There is a reason they have been in business so long. It's because they carry an extensive line of arts and craft supplies and everything is priced so low. That equals me as a repeat customer!
Texas Mirrors & More
I really enjoy visiting Texas mirrors and more. They always have something new in the showroom. Makes every visit interesting. I have found some really nice accessories here for our home that are very unique. They have an extensive selection of rustic ironworks. Everything from candle stands to mirrors. They have some very high priced items as well as very affordable items. Fits all budgets. I love going here. Everyone is so nice.
Decorative Lamp & Shade Studio
Found a neat store that carries hand made nautical themed lamps and decor in Seabrook. If your ever in the Clear Lake area swing by and take a look. I think everyone knows someone that has nautical items in there home. This is a very popular style in this area of town. But this store has its own unique style. I purchased a lamp for a gift for a friend and she just loves it! She told me she has received many compliments. The staff is very friendly and the prices arent all that bad for these special lamps.
Chairs & Tables Inc
This place was a little rough but did have some neat overpriced art deco items. If your looking for something unique, modern and stylish to make a statement in your home you should head over to Richmond Ave to Chairs and Tales. Ive passed by this place several times and finally made it in for a peak. Everyone was nice and very helpful but I did not find anything I could not live with out this visit. Maybe next time!
