Centex built a large section of track homes in Brentwood, and my family and I moved into one a few years ago.
It was a satisfactory buying experience, but we weren't dealing directly with Centex for most of the buying end. Once we moved in, there were some issues we had to contact Centex about, and they were great about rectifying the situation. It took them longer than we would have liked to get out to our house, but that is to be expected for most services.
I would reccommend looking through a Drexel-built house if you have any questions about this builder. They make beautiful homes, and their work can speak for itself!
Drexel Heritage is such a pleasant shopping experience. If you are looking to make a serious purchase as far as furniture or re-decorating, this is a great place to start. If you have an idea of what you want, you are sure to find it here, and get some great ideas to compliment your design while you are at it. The furniture is set up in a pseudo-room, so you can see what pieces they have matched with the furniture you like, which can help if you aren't sure about a particular area - such as lighting styles or color accents.
If you don't know where you want to start, or what furniture would work well with your needs, you can talk to any of their designers and you are sure to get some good feedback. It is well lighted, and very spacious here, so you could spend hours on end meandering around at your own pace and checking out their selection.
They also have fresh-baked cookies and coffee usually, if you need a pick-me-up before you hit the other side of the store!
