The Ticket Company Incorporated
Their ticket prices for the U2 concert were $100 more than EVERY seat around them. If you want to save money for any show in town, buy from ANY place but here.
Pre-Paid Legal Services
I've had to use this service several times and it paid for itself many times over. It's funny how you get horrible service and can't get anything done on your own, but as soon as they get a letter from your attorney, it's all taken care of. Charisse is one of the friendliest people I've ever met.
Energy Misers
Every company, of course, says they have the best windows for the home. But these really are the most quality windows I've ever seen. Also, unlike almost every company that sells in your home, there was no huge pressure to BUY RIGHT NOW. The price was good for six months so we could actually check out the competition. They weren't afraid of us looking.
Big Brothers-Big Sisters Donation Center
When I decided to get rid of my car, I chose to donate it to charity instead of trying to sell it. I grabbed the paper and started calling all the charities that advertise they'll pick your car up. Everybody told me it would take a few days. Well, my schedule is busy and I couldn't fit them in. Finally, I called Big Brothers and they sent somebody over within an hour or so. Took my car and gave me a receipt.
Flashbacks
While they do have some jewelry, not a lot, the rest of the store is filled with tons of cool stuff....mostly "retro" items. Old movie posters and cards. They have a lot of neat games and Simpsons stuff. I got a great plaque of U2 for Christmas from here. They have some gag adult gifts too.
Sam's Beauty Salon
Most of the time I get a haircut here, it is just as good as the haircuts I've paid $35 for. Sometimes, it's not the best, but I've had that happen with the expensive haircuts too. The worst part is sometimes the wait is pretty long but they have long hours. Early mornings are the best.
Party City
No matter what type of party you are having, this is the place to go. Costumes for Halloween. Pinatas or helium ballons for birthdays. Tons of wedding supplies. Even torches if you're having a beach party. The prices are great too. They do need more birthday cards, though. Not nearly enough. The ones they do have, though, are half price.
Therapeutic Massage
I've had my share of massages, but nothing relaxed me like this did. I chose reflexology where they concentrate on your feet. She must have hit a special place because I could actually feel the endorphins, or whatever they were, flowing down my head/brain. It was the most relaxed I've ever been in my life.
Aloha Workd Travel
One of the places I always wanted to visit was Hawaii. So I called them up and made my plans. They got me a great deal on a flight, hotel, car rental and other activities. The staff was very knowledgable and helped us decide where to go and what to see in our limited time there. When I go to the Big Island, I'll give them a call.
Omelet House Garden Room
If you like omlettes, this is the place in town to go to. They are excellent. Almost any kind you can think of.....and then some. Because of that, though, they are always packed and the parking sucks. We almost always get it for take out. I like their potatoes too. Wish they had their own lot.
