White Trash is a really fun store in New York City. They carry a huge variety of things, like furniture, plates, linens, and super funky lamps. Everything is in excellent condition and is a bit pricey. I really love their furniture. It is fun and great for apartments or houses. You have to have a certain taste to shop here. This is for someone who has an edge and isn't afraid to decorate with non-traditional, often colorful items. The store is small, the staff is nice, and the location is good. This store is perfect for college students and 20-somethings in their first apartment.
St. John is a very classy store for a very specific kind of woman. It is very refined. They carry classically styled clothing, dresses, jewelry, and items for the home. Everything is pretty expensive. Although I do not like their clothing, I do like their home accessories. You can pick up some lovely items for your house and it won't break your bank. I think the overall feel of this store is very classy and rich, which is great if that is what you are into. The salespeople are pretty nice to deal with. Parking in this area can be difficult, considering walking or taking a taxi.
Beads of Paradise is just what the name suggests...beads! They have beads made from all kinds of materials just all over the store. Their bead selection is incredible. You can buy them one by one, or buy a whole string of beads. You can take them home and make jewelry out of them, or there are pre-made pieces available to purchase. They also sell really cool sculptures, but they are pretty pricey. This store is a lot of fun if you are into crafts and appreciate beads made from everything from metal to glass to stone.
Moon River Chattel is like walking back into time. They feature a wide variety of home furnishings, most of which have been given a makeover. They also have lots of old-time home accents and accessories - some of which are reproductions and some are actually from the 1950's. It is a fun store and a nice place to pick up some nostalgic pieces for you home. Everything is very well made and the furniture is unlike any you will find elsewhere. The workers are all very pleasant and helpful, and the store is roomy and easy to move around in.
Albert & Piccolo is a really cool store that carries all sorts of furniture, art, jewelry, and purses. Most items are handmade by the owners or local artists. The furniture is all handmade and simply beautiful. The purses are whimsical and fun, and make great gifts. Their jewelry is nothing ordinary either, but won't cost you too much for a very original, eye-catching piece. There is a gallery area in the store where local artists display their art. It is fun to go check that out and it changes often. This store is just a lot of fun and a great place for unique gifts.
The Wedding List is a store and registry service all wrapped in one. You get top-notch service when you register here. Your "consultant" is very helpful and is a great help in the registry process. It is fun to walk through the super organized store and pick out what you want on your registry. They have all the top brands and have all the items you could want for any room in your house. This is a great service and being able to register for all your needs at one place saves lots of time. It is easy for your guests to get you the gifts you register for by either coming to the store or buying online.
Cherry is a wonderful store with a little bit of everything. The store itself is fairly large and there is just so much to look at. They carry top names in furniture, as well as apparel, shoes, and home accessories. Prices can be high, but since the merchandise is mostly all top brands, it isn't unreasonable. The salespeople are very nice and friendly and gladly offer their assistance. This store is a lot of fun to shop in and you won't believe some of the items you will find here. It is located at a nice spot and is easy to find.
Bark is a really quaint and neat home accent store. They have many items made of very rich and elegant fabrics, such as throws, pillows, and linens. They sell the finest linens that are so great to touch, and if you can afford them, would be so comfortable to sleep on. Some of their items feature real fur and are quite high-end. It is a very comfortable and plush environment very conducive to browsing and buying.
