Name It Bait & Tackle
Before I go out on any fishing trip, I always stop in here to get some live bait and some frozen squid as well. The store also has any type of hook you need for your fishing rods. You can also pick up some last minute camping gear for your trip as well like matches or even light sticks. Prices are cheap for bait and a bit more expensive for fishing gear than other places. I'd definitely recommend though.
Mash Army & Navy Store Inc
If you're looking for an excellent deal, I'd definitely check this place out for any camping gear you need. They have a great selection of "stuff" that's very unorganized unfortunately so it's not too easy to locate. If you're in a hurry, you can always ask the folks there to help you find it. The camping gear here is super cheap and seems to be of high quality. the latern I got here still works well even after several camping trips. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you have some time on your hands.
Urban Angler Ltd
They have very expensive camping gear here from brand names that I haven't heard from. Though expensive, the products in the store seemed to be of very high quality. The sales folks there didn't bother me too much as I just looked around the store. I ended up buying a nice canteen bottle here which came in very handy in my last trip. I'd come here again, though probably during a end of summer sale.
Tent & Trails
I came to this place because my coworkers really love this place. Before heading on my camping trip with my son, I came here to pick up a tent since we were going to rough it. They have a great selection and the staff there was patient enough to go through the pros and cons of each tent they had. I ended up choosing the tent that was the fastest to setup. The prices here were above average, but the items they sell were very high quality. I'd come here again.
Tom's Boat Shop
They have a good selection of boat engines at the store. Other than selling boats, they have some connections on fixing boats as well. I ended up having them take my boat and replacing the old motor I had on it with something a bit more powerful. They made really good suggestions and outfitted me with a good warranty service on the motor too. Now my boat is purring with more HP! I'd definitely recommend. Prices are above average though.
Neal's Upholstery
If you're looking to replace your upholstrey on your boat, I'd give these guys a call. They can re-upholster anything! My old torn ratted away seats have never looked so good. They will give you several options on what kind of upholstrey you'll need. You can choose the original specs or choose updated ones. The prices were about average, but the work was excellent. The seats turned out great! I'd recommend.
Bay Side Boat Canvas Company
I needed a cover for my fishing sport boat and I came here to have a custom fitted one made for my boat. They had a large catalog of samples for me to look and choose. I ended up choosing something a bit more durable and expensive, but they recommended it because it would last longer than the cheaper ones. It took about 2 weeks to get it to me but the canvas fit like a glove! Great work and friendly staff.
Saba's Pro Shop
I came in this store for a kyrptonite bike lock and found it at a pretty reasonable price. The guy at the shop was nice and asked me a couple of questions about my bike too as friendly talk. They also sell a lot of other bike accessories like water bottles and anything you can think of for the bike. I'd recommend and come here again. The prices were on average with other stores in manhattan.
Stars & Strikes Proshop & Embroidery
This is a great place to get custom made embroidered shirts for your bowling team. The place is actually inside MARK Lane bowling alley. It's a really small shop, so once you get in, you'll be attended to right away. I used them to have a set of shirts done for my bowling team and they turned out great. They had really good craftsmanship. The whole order took about 4 days to complete. Now our bowling team looks great!
One-Three Sports
I came here initially to order some soccer uniforms, but they didn't have that, so I looked around and found a couple of soccer balls on sale. The store looked sort of small, had a lot of clothing on racks though most of it was generic brands. The prices were very cheap and reasonable, but didn't seem like high quality. Over all a good place to shop if you're not into the high performance gear.
