Bangles & Bags
Bangles and Bags is simply a fun place to shop. The store is cheerfully decorated and the staff is upbeat and friendly. The selection of bags is wonderful! Everything from Harley-Davidson to college themed bags can be found. They even have pet carriers in some absolutely adorable designs.

Mary Jos Cloth Store Incorporated
Mary Jo's has every kind of fabric you can imagine. Their bridal department is second to none. The staff goes out of their way to help you. The store can be a bit overwhelming with thousands of bolts of fabrics, but with close inspection, you'll see they have a wonderful way to keep things organized. The fabrics are separated into themes, designers, even colors. The prices are very reasonable and sales tables are filled with great deals.

Gaston Fence Company Incorporated
We've used Gaston Fence Company for our personal and business needs. Each time, the company has stood behind what they've said. They've shown up on time, have been very polite and have cleaned up after themselves. Their prices are very competitive.

Nichols Food Store
Nichols Food Store is located on Wilkinson Blvd, near the Gaston County line. The store is clean and gas prices are in line with others in the area. They have a deli that offers surprisingly good food. Their chicken wings are great. Being on the corner, with a traffic light, allows easy access anytime of the day.
PROS: Easy Access, good food

Carolina Smoothies
Carolina Smoothies offers a wonderfully delicious and healthy treat. Nothing taste better on a hot summer evening. They offer a huge variety of fruits to make the perfect drink. They're located near Talley's Green Grocer, so you can combine the two for a healthy shopping spree!
PROS: Healthy and DELICIOUS!

Talley's Green Grocery
Talley's offers a great selection of organically grown fruits and vegetables, and lots of other health foods. Their deli is one of Charlotte's best. They also have a loyal customer card that is scanned for in-store discounts on selected items. They're a little more expensive than the "other" store, but have a larger selection.
PROS: Healthy foods
CONS: High traffic area.
Health Home Economist Market
I've gone to most of the organic/natural stores in the Charlotte area, but the Home Economist is my favorite. It's clean and has a great selection of healthy food, whether it be fresh, frozen, or even canned. Their meats are wonderful. If you've never tried them, you don't know what you're missing. They also offer great smoothies.

Pet Essentials
Pet Essentials wins as Charlotte's best pet store! They have everything you could want for your pampered pet! They sell super premium dog and cat food, gourmet treats and all kinds of specialty items like pet car seats, holistic medicines and more!

Pets & Co
In this day and age, I'm still amazed at the people who will purchase a puppy from a pet store. Investigations have proven that most of these poor animals come from puppy mills! Of course, they all deny it. Either way, these poor babies are left in cages, unsocialized from the time they arrive until some poor sap buys them at horribly inflated prices! Any store that sells animals is a definate NO-NO in my book. I refuse to support this type of business.

Animal Supply House
I make the trip to the Animal Supply House a several times a year. Basically, I go to get my dog some of the neat, handmade collars and hair bows they sell. Their prices are very reasonable. They also carry handmade coats for dogs. Food and items for cats, reptiles, fish and even horses can be found here.
