Tandy Leather Factory
I walked into this store without a clue. The nice people here set me up with everything i needed to complete my desire project at a price that was just mind-boggling low !
For newbies to leather work, I don' think this place can be beat. I'll be returning, often, for more leather and more clues. If you ever wanted to work leather but didn't think you could learn, You should too.
Ac Moore
I Had simple needs when I got here and all of them were met. I needed a small cross-stitch project, some extra thread and a frame. The 50 % off coupon didn't bring me here, but it helped immensely Since frames can be expensive. the staff was easy to find and helpful and the prices were so good, I brought two kits instead of one ! Definitely a good place for crafty types to stop if you are in the Avenues at White Marsh !
Poe House & Museum
My friend's and English teacher, so we HAD to go here ! They are also well over 6 feet tall. Poe house is excellently preserved, but TINY ! Any one over 5'4 be prepared to duck a lot. It's a self guided tour, with videos and Poe's Loft, is so small it's incredible.
In the entry room, they sell souvenirs and parchments in Poe's own handwriting. It's a must see for Poe fans, but call ahead or check their internet site to make sure they are going to be open !
Kobe Japanese Steak & Seafood House
Another happy accident ! Approximately 9 people are seated about a grill and the cook comes out and puts on a show while cooking the most fabulous food you can imagine ! The Sake is warm and goes down easy, and so does an enormous about of food. We had the filet mignon, Yum !
Get the Mochi ice cream for dessert, you won't be disappointed !
Jade Garden Buffet
This find was a happy accident. We got lost, after finding the other three places we wanted to eat closed, we stumbled, starving on this place. Oh my goodness, we were not starving for long ! Everything about this place is Excellent ! The buffet is fit for a king, with all the traditional fixings and more ! the prices are excellent ! We left, fat and happy, with promises to come back and bring all our friends. Help us out here, stop by and eat there excellent food !
MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery
I took a friend here the other day and they liked it so much they made me promise to review it ! Maggie's, is a small up beat shop On Broadway, that is the perfect place to stop after dinner, or when you just need to cool down after a long day in Fell's Point. The atmosphere is fun and friendly and makes you feel like a kid again. The treats are out of this world ! It can be difficult to decide what you want. This is going to be a required stop every time i go to Fell's point with my friend now !
The Greene Turtle Fells Point
While Showing off Fell's Point to a friend from out of the country, we stopped here for lunch. It was an excellent choice, since we could sit out side and they had enough choices in beer to satisfy both our very different tastes ! The Crab Dip appetizer was more than enough, and excellently done. Service was a bit slow, don't pick this place if you are in a hurry !
Grrreat-Bears Toys Ltd
Grreat bears and childhood delights is a grrreat place to pick up toys and stuffed animals for the young and young at heart ! The store is clean and open, with plenty of space to play with your new friend. One of the best, family friendly places Fell's Point has to offer. Fine, friendly, staff and price ranging from a few, to a few hundred bucks.
Amuse Of Fell's Point Llc
A good old-fashioned toy store in the heart of Fell's Point. They have something for the child in all of us. Many of there toys are educational. Some are old fashioned and made of wood, the store in neat and clean and the staff is always willing to help ! Toys can be got for as little as three bucks and go up from there. One of my favorite places to shop.
Third Times a Charm
Third Times a Charm is Just that, Charming. A simple store in Fell's point, they carry a most unusual blend of antiques, collectibles and gifts. It's like poking around in your grandmother's Attic. I was met at the door by Russ, a man with an extensive knowledge of the history of Fell's Point. Thankfully, Russ was willing to share, without his knowledge I would have never found the proper bus top to get myself home. Not that I wanted to leave. The store is full of books, clothing and knick-knacks, with what seems to be a new discover around every turn. Shops like this are why I shop Fell's point. I'd recommend a visit, particularly if you need to shop for someone, who is hard to please, you'll find a ton of things you never thought of right here !
