Mama Buffet
The last time I ate here I saw one employee throw dirty noodles back into the pan that was on the buffet . GROSS. They always charge you dinner prices starting at 3 when it states that dinner starts at 4. They charge small children FULL Prices. It is not so cheap once you take your family with kids there. They also question if you are a senior citizen and they actually CARD seniors, how rude. My parents ate their once and my father was still eating a banana on his way out and the rude manager told my father he couldnt take it with him. How, silly, seeing that my father was eating it. It was not like he could use the banana again, or maybe he would? Considering what I saw them putting back in their food. Gross, NON of my family or friends will eat here. I heard that there is a new one in olathe. STAY clear!
Kids Kreations
I really like this place because it's close to my home. Her stuff is kind of pricey but sometimes you really find a good deal and hard to find stuff. She has a pretty big shoe slection and I really like that. Not many places like this anymore in the Northland. My only problem is that she only takes cash or checks.

CONS: Only Cash or Checks
Cooper Automotive Svc
Every time that we take our car to this shop they have come through for us. The first time we took it in was for a faulty blinker and it happened to be the first day of our honnymoon and we were expected out of town and they had us out within the hour. What great customer service and no scams, only fair deals. I really appreciate a great place like this. Highly Recommended.
Lulubell The Clown
My neice hired this company to come and preform at her daughter's 1st Birthday Party. Although my great neice was rather small and did not care for the clown, the other children and adults really liked the face painting and magic/comedy show. It was a really good time had by all at the party. The clown really tryed his best to make everyone happy, even posing for pictures with all the kids. Great clown and great company
North Oak Crossing
This community might look nice from afar, but forget about actually living here. It takes forever to be "approved" to live here. The staff is a bunch of incompetent idiots. Your neighbors will be rude and uncaring people, so be prepared. Kids everywhere getting into mischief and mayhem. They have surprise inspections where "random" apartments will be checked. They told us to clean out our kitchen because the exterminator was coming, and he never came. The apartment was not sprayed for anything during the time we were living there. I was a stay at home mom, so I was home all day and no one came, ever.
But the worse complaint of all is that we were cleaning up our apartment and doing a "slow move" so that we could move to our house. We slowly got things out and cleaned for about a month and we made sure to lock the doors every time we left. One of the idiot staff members thought we moved out, even though she NEVER called or posted anything on the door, and called the cleaning service and maintenance to get the rest of our things out. One day we cleaned and the next day we came in our apartment and found our things were all over the place and some of them gone. It looked like a total robbery. We called the police and the office but NO ONE from their staff returned our calls until SEVERAL days later. We reported a robbery because about $700 in things was missing, including my toddlers piggy bank money that said "COLLEGE FUND" on it. What creeps. They stole our things and our poor innocent babies money. They should be ashamed of themselves, stealing from a baby....let alone something that says "college fund." The idiots just had to pick up the phone to make sure we were still there, besides, they shouldn't have moved anything until our actual lease was up, which was in a few days.In the end we got a "so called settlement" but still I feel as if that idiot who ordered it to be done, should have been FIRED. Like I said, idiots work here, so unless you want your things sto

Woods Apartments
The day we moved in we had problems with rollie pollies (small bugs) in our bedroom and it got so bad that unless we vacuumed almost everyday they would crawl into every room at night. That alone was very annoying and gross. That was just the tip of the iceberg. We had a VERY large dog in the apartment right upstairs from us. It was so large that it should have never been in an apartment to begin with. It would bark all day long while the owner was at work; it was very loud and annoying. When the owner would come back home in the middle of the night, he would play fetch inside above our bed all night long with the dog. It would keep us up all night long. We would call about the dog to the office but they never did anything.
We also had a problem with the people next door to us, they would always have their TV and Stereo up loud until 3 or 4 am and you would hear everything they were saying. We would have to call the police on them all of the time because they would be fighting and kept our 4 month old up (now thats a bit much, especially when it was hard enough to get him to sleep in the first place). After the guy with the dog moved out we had new neighbors up stairs who were just as bad. They would throw cigarettes off of their balcony onto ours where our baby would be swinging. I was so mad that they would be so sloppy as to do that knowing we had our door open. What would have happened if we were outside when they did that? THEY WOULD HAVE BURNED ONE OF US. They would also dump their vacuum right on our doorstep.
We also had a person who lived across the hall from us who ended up in the patty wagon with the police after him and then they threw out all of his things. We were very scared he would try to break back in, after we saw him tracing the apartments back and forth a few times. While we were living here we also found out (via our apartment complex on the evening NEWS) that a murder that was on the run was hiding in one of the apartments not too far fro

CONS: TOO MANY TO LIST-MUST READ BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE
Fritzs Railroad Restaurant
This is a must see and eat on your trip in to crown center. KC has two of these resturants, the origional in KCK, but I prefer this one because every so often we take our family to crown center and walk around and shop and see the sites of what KC is really all about. Great family fun! My 18 month old is mezmorized by the trains above his head and the ones next to our table going by. I honestly think this resturant is the reason why he loves trains so much already. We started taking him here when he was very small and have already started a family tradition. We love it here.
New Theatre Restaurant
This is one place you must stop when visting KC or just for a fun date night with your loved one. The plays are awesome and the stars include celebs from tv and movies. The Food is absolutly wonderful, the best buffet in KC, voted a few times. My parents love this place so much that each Christmas we give them season passes for the following year. Its something you have to see for yourself. They have a variety of plays/musicals every season. Check it out for yourself.
PROS: Great Food and Show....the Best of KC
CONS:
Wonderscope Childrens Museum
This museum is set in an old school, it is kind of run down and the exibits are too. However, it is still enjoyable for smaller kids ages 3-6 would enjoy this place the best. Although they gear towards 10 and under....and they have a special room for babies....which is pretty neat, with lots of things to climb on and hide. I still recommend that paradise park is top for this type of museum....our family still finds fun in this place. It is still a must see for KC visitors and dwellers with kids, especially if you are not that close to the newer rival (paradise park) in lee's summit.
City of Kcmo Museums
I love this site because it is free to walk and its a great place to put the buildings. You can simply walk the trail and see real life houses and businesses that are from the 1880's. This is a great place to go on a nice windy spring day.My only complaint is that they should make more of a park out of this area and open something like silver dollar city.....I want more actors out there all the time, instead on special days during the year.
