K's Teriyaki
K's makes some great teriyaki. In addition to the teriyaki, they also offer many other asian entrees. The service is good, and friendly. The portions are large. The prices are fair. They are always on time with our take out. If you have to order in it only takes about 10 minutes. Try them if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed.
Dixie's Bbq
Dixies is not your typical restaurant. There is usually a huge line forming out the door. You walk through and the service people purposefully treat you like trash - all in good fun haha. You get your choice of beef or pork ribs, brisket, sandwiches, and a variety of other things. Don't forget your bottled ice cold root beer. Next you go to the picnic tables and hope "the man" is there. The man is a little old man who comes to all the tables with his super duper hot sauce, and taunts everyone saying, "you can't handle the man!" ...and he's right! That hot sauce is HOT! It's a lot of fun, good grub, and prices that are reasonable.
Bison Creek Pizza
Bison Creek has a great variety for being recognized as simply a pizza restaurant. They offer pizza, subs, hotwings, salad, pasta, and beverages. They have great food, made with quality ingredients. The service is great, friendly and happy to be at your service. The prices are the only pitfall, I think they charge a bit too much, and certainly more than the surrounding pizza joints. But if you want really good chow and are willing to pay for it, try them out!
Breaktime Restaurant & Lounge
Ok, allow me to say, "Yuck!" Our favorite restaurant (king wha) was closed so we went next door. It was the worst chinese food I've ever eatten, and the three people with me agreed! The texture, taste, and quality were terrible! Oh wait, my kids ordered burgers and fries and they were great, but it's a Chinese food restaurant for goodness sake! The prices were just ridiculous, especially for terrible food. The best part about this place is the parking...there is plenty of it!
King Wha Restaurant
We could not find a good Chinese food restaurant for so long, until finally one night we happened upon King Wha! Oh wow! You have not had Chinese food until you eat here. Everything tastes good. The service is fantastic. The prices are decent. The servings are more than ample. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but looks can sometimes be deceiving! Check them out!
La Costa Restaurant
La Costa's has pretty good food, although it isn't the best Mexican food in the area. The service has been lacking the last several times we've gone in. We left deciding not to go back. Service was slow, things were not as requested, and no one seemed to really care. Prices are high, and with bad service that just doesn't make me want to return.
Lena Hair Design
Lena's is no longer Lena's. A few years ago she sold the place to a new gal. Lena did my hair for years, and she did an excellent job. After she sold the place she stayed on for a little while, and then finally went after her dream of quitting altogether. Because of the new lady's difficulty speaking and understanding English, it made it difficult to communicate and as a result I rarely got the hairstyle I requested. Perhaps if there were better communication the results would be different.
Victory Outreach Church
What first drew me to Victory Outreach was watching them on the news as they witnessed in downtown Seattle at the needle exchange. What could show the love of Jesus better than reaching out to those who society won't? I attended a few services there and Pastor Johnny had me in stitches every time. Good messages, with humorous overtones. They have an excellent programs for youth, adults, etc. I recommend this church to anyone, and would like to note that if you are having a hard time with an addiction, these people have the heart to help!
B & E Meat & Seafood Co
This is a great butcher! Their meat is top of the line, the best quality in town. The butchers behind the counter are friendly and helpful. Their steaks are out of this world, choice cut. Every time we have special company, we pick up a couple sirloins or a brisket. They also offer family packs for your freezer, with a variety of different items. They sell beef, seafood, poultry, etc. They also have some specialty items, such as marinated meats, etc. Don't leave without trying the Salmon Candy (trust me!). Prices? Spendy, but WELL worth every penny!
The Space Needle
From 520 feet up, Seattle is even more breathtaking than it is from the ground. You can see everything for miles with the Space Needle's 360 degree view. Check out a bird's eye view of Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, our awesome skyscrapers, and all of the other beauty that surrounds us. The elevator ride up is amazingly fast - 41 seconds to climb that massive altitude. If you have family or friends in town, it is a must do. The cost is reasonable, if you realize it is a one of a kind experience. ($13 for adults) This review is for the observation deck.
