Osh Kosh B'Goish

Federal Way, WA Children's Clothing Stores - Federal Way, WA Baby Clothes 11/18/05: 'Cute baby clothes and they frequently have sales!'

I love this store! They have the cutest baby/kid's clothes, and they are always having sales! Don't be surprised to see things go 40% off to 50% off. I have seen even higher. Makes it worthwhile to check the store out once in awhile! And a huge selection!

PROS: Sales often! Woohoo!
CONS: Very cute items are hardly on sale.

University Book Store

Seattle, WA Marketing Consultants - Seattle, WA Bookstores 11/18/05: 'Come here to just look around!'

They have everything...a new coffeeshop, books, supplies, cards, gifts, even a tiny Clinique counter. There are tons of things to browse in this store. It's amazing what they have. The cutest nicknacks. The only drawback is that everything is a bit pricey. Even the books. They do have coupons floating out there though, and they do have anniversary sales in the summer. Don't go during the first days of class....it is crazy down there!! Free parking with validated sticker! Let's you park there for 1.5 hours I believe. Used to be 2 hours, but they cut it down.

PROS: Fun place to hang out, and shop!
CONS: A little pricey, busy on first days of school.

Half Price Books

Seattle, WA Shopping - Seattle, WA Bookstores - Seattle, WA Used Bookstores 11/18/05: 'A fun place to spend a few hours!'

I love Half Price books! Can never get enough of this store. Don't get the wrong idea; just because it's half price does NOT mean that everything is used! They sell many brand new books at the discounted prices also! Go in here, and you will find a good deal. They even have a 1.00 section with some decent finds. They also purchase books too, but do not pay too much for them. Overall, it's a fantastic place!

PROS: Half price price! Tons of popular books.
CONS: If you're looking for a rare title, won't have it.

Brassfields Salon & Day Spa

Tacoma, WA Beauty Salons - Tacoma, WA Barbers - Tacoma, WA Manicurists & Pedicurists - Tacoma, WA Spas - Tacoma, WA Day Spas 09/10/05: 'Hidden Gem! Luxury Salon & Spa! Great for wedding makeup!'

Not as famous as Gene Juarez. But it's a hidden gem!! When you're out shopping for a wedding dress, ask who they recommend for hair and makeup, and Brassfields comes up. It's been reviewed and praised in magazines and for good reason. Upon walking in, you will be greeted - they are big on customer service. The interior is tastefully done, and very upscale, and relaxing. They have a number of professional hair artists, and they are very, very good.
The makeup person is by far the best! I've had my makeup done several times over the years, and it has never been as good as Brassfields. I have had it done at Nordstroms, by the Clarins National Makeup Artist, Smashbox National make up artist, Laura mercier, etc, and it's never been comprable.
Prices are expensive, but that's to be granted; it's a luxury spa!

PROS: Quality work!!
CONS: Expensive!

Oliver's Bar

Seattle, WA Arts & Entertainment - Seattle, WA Bars & Clubs 08/26/05: 'Very nice, quaint hotel!'

Not a huge chain, but a great hotel! Classy, and upscale, the rooms are very nice, and spacious. Decorated nicely too. Great, fantastic convenience, as it is centered right smack in the middle of Downtown Seattle shopping and restaurants. From the hotel, you can walk into Westlake Center! I love this hotel!

PROS: Great, fantastic, clean, great service!
CONS: Not cheap!

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood

Seattle, WA Restaurants - Seattle, WA Seafood Restaurants 08/26/05: 'Excellent upscale dining, and awesome Happy Hour for food!'

Happy hour is great for the different food specials. No deals on drinks though. During the day, the restaurant is upscale, sophisticated, but pricey. Still for happy hour, it's a great place to come!

PROS: Awesome happy hour!!
CONS: Pricey, and no drink specials

Chandler's Crabhouse

Seattle, WA Restaurants - Seattle, WA Seafood Restaurants 08/26/05: 'Come here for excellent Happy hour!'

Come here for Happy hour! They have an awesome deal on appetizers, a vast array from cheeseburger, to calimari, to sushi, to shrimp cocktail....it goes on, and it changes too. Appetizers are dirt cheap also! I believe happy hour starts after 9 pm everyday! They do have drink specials too! As for during the day, the food is great, but expensive! If going for a romantic night, try sitting in the atrium!

PROS: Nice upscale dining!
CONS: Expensive

The Old Spaghetti Factory

Seattle, WA Restaurants - Seattle, WA Banquet Rooms 08/26/05: 'Great family restaurant!'

This is an excellent family restaurant to take the kids too. Always packed, you may have to wait 10 minutes for a table. Each table has it's own style of chairs, you may be seated in the caboose, or in a king style chair, etc. It's fun, the food is great, and cheap! Dinners include salad, and their spumoni signature ice cream!

PROS: Great family restaurant!
CONS: Lines are sometimes long

B & O Espresso

Seattle, WA Restaurants - Seattle, WA Shopping - Seattle, WA General Merchandise Stores 08/26/05: 'Cute dessert place to relax with friends!'

Instead of hanging out at Starbucks, try this local B & O Espresso. Usually packed. Great desserts, and some entrees too. Decent prices, but trying to find parking is a bit of a pain! You'll have to look for side street parking, but it's worth it! A good after dinner, date place!

PROS: Excellent dessert place
CONS: Parking is a pain

Isami Incorporated

Seattle, WA Restaurants 08/26/05: 'Very good sushi restaurant'

This restaurant is pan asian. Food is excellent. This is the place to go if some in your party want sushi, and some just want some more regular type asian entrees. They have good noodle dishes, curry, and much more. A wide selection on their menu! Prices are decent too! Clean bathrooms too!

PROS: Wide variety
CONS: Nothing I can think of!
