Star Nursery Inc
The service at Star Nursery is excellent. They have a great selection of plants for all seasons and I was quite amazed at the range for living in a harsh desert environment. We have called several times asking for advice and they have always been willing to help us. My wife and I love gardening and have found this nursery to be a wonderful resource.
Honda West
Shortly after moving to Las Vegas our air conditioning system completely went out in a three year old Honda CRV. Our car was towed to Honda West and they said it was a $2800 fix. Since we have bumper to bumper coverage with our insurance company that visited the shop and confirmed the cost. I was not impressed with their service representative and have a feeling that we were being takenb advantage of.
Wild Roots Salon Inc
After recently moving to the North Las Vegas community we wanted to find a family hair stylist in our neighborhood. Both my son and wife had haircuts at this establishment and let me say that the haircuts were less than satisfactory. It seems like no one listen to what was being requested. My wife was extremely upset with the results. If you want a "chop shop" than this is the place.
Craig Road Animal Hospital
After recently moving to Las Vegas it was very important that we find a vet for our three Ragdoll cats. They have been a part of our lives, and most importantly, our children's lives for over seven years. We believe that this Animal Hospital is a place that cares greatly about their patients. The business hours are great. However, each time we have veen there it is very noisy and seems disorganized. But once you get through all that the animal care is very professional.
Lincoln Park Zoo
The Lincoln Park Zoo in dowtown Chicago is worth visiting to escape the hustle and bustle of a downtime environment. The new gorilla exhibit is an outstanding attraction and the kids will be entertain for hours. Because the zoo is located on the shores of Lake Michigan it does get pretty windy. Take the family and have a great time.
Henry Doorly Zoo
When you think of Omaha you sure don't think that there is one of the top five zoos in the entire country residing in Omaha, Nebraska. I have travelled the world and visited many zoos but the Henry Doorley Zoo is outstanding. Make sure you go visit the new gorilla exhibit. Plan on the whole day. There is a lot to see, the Desert Dome, the Aquarium, the Lied Jungle, etc. Plan your trip, you will not be disappointed.
Euphoria Salons & Day Spas
My seventeen year old son was getting frustrated trying to find a place that could style his hair to his liking. Let's face it, what is more important to a teenager than having great hair. Seriously, the staff at Euphoria know exactly how to please the teen crowd. My son was extremely happy and the costs are very reasonable.
Jersey Mike's Subs
I tried Jersey Mikes for the first time this week. Tis is a great sub shop that serves up authenic east coast sub sandwiches. The service was great and the servers were friendly and helpful. "Mike's Special" or "No. 5" was a perfect introduction to this shop. And by the way, make sure you ask the server to prepare your sandwich "Mike's Way".
Verrazano Pizza
As a newcomer to Las Vegas it was important to find a world class pizza joint. And found it I did. This is the best New York pizza I have eaten. Make sure you try the Verrazano special. The service is fast and friendly. For you New Yorkers, the food is a trip down memory lane.
Marie Callender's
A wide selection of delicious dishes. Very friendly service. The bakery selection is incredible, especially the pies. We can't wait to go back. The family loved it. The menu has a large variety of choices for everyone's taste buds. The portions are generous. But get there early for lunch and dinner if you want to beat the rush.
