If you have a problem with a copy machine, or any other piece of office equipment, call someone else. They can't fix it, no matter what it is. Then they make appointments, and they never show to them, or are late! How about not trying to fix your machine, missing appointments to fix it, then try and sell you a new one! Don't waste your time with these clowns.
PROS: They dress pretty.
CONS: Can't fix squat, waste your time.
You wouldn't believe what I saw when I lived here. fist fights, drug deals, and the police pepperspraying people high on drugs or meth. When I moved in, the fridge was so packed with rotten stuff, I had to buy my own and keep in it my room! You share the kitchen, and your bathroom. And you don't even control the heat!!
There prices aren't the best, but the staff makes up for it. How nice is it to be able to go into a place and have someone really help you? They know what they are doing, and that makes it alot easier! And if they don't have it in stock they can order it for you. How nice is it to go into a place and they know what they are talking about, and know what you are looking for? Also you don't have to wander around looking for someone in a red shirt who doesn't seem to have a clue, if you know what place I'm talking about, you know all about it.
They can also order printing and other services. And boy can you make copies here!
PROS: Great Service/Staff!
CONS: Prices are a little high
Thank you for nothing Mickey's. You gave me nothing but grief when I tried to buy a car. I will never buy a car, or try to buy a car from you ever again. I will tell everybody that I know never to set foot on your lots. So you want mor info? They tried to sell me a car that didn't run right, was way out of spec, and then they said I needed to give them another $1000 for a warrenty. All while trying to rake me over the coals with a 21% rate (with co-signer) I went down to Mid City and was offerred 9% without a co-signer on the spot.
If you want a junk heap that was pulled out of a junkyard (oh yeah, my car had parts off a wreaked car on it) and pay 21% on the loan, if you don't want to do this, go elsewhere.
And their stuff is plumbing! I've gone in here with oddball stuff from oddball jobs, and they are CHEAPER then any other place around here, and they know what I need! No messing around for an hour at the other stores, I go here, they see what I need, and they know what it is, and where it is.
In and out!
The Arcata Endeavor is much more then Marriage & Family Counselors, they seem to enjoy bringing in more and more homeless people to the area. If it's not Food not Bombs, it's these people bring in massive amounts of pan handlers and druggies to our area.
Thanks Endeavor for ruining down town Arcata.
I've been buying things from Arcata Exchange for over 10 years now, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. My futon frame that I bought there almost 15 years ago is still going strong! And the owner of the store is a nice person as well.
These guys saved me a bundle on a set of tires. Every other place way trying to sell me the $150+ each tires, when I didn't need them. He took one look and said $50 tire and that includes mounting etc etc.
I'm going to go back when I buy a set of wheels next!
I've picked up a couple of really nice items from this store, but you really have to watch what you are looking at, your the sticker shock will get you! The store is clean and the staff is helpful. Also make sure you completely look over your item, and we almost bought a quilt that had a stain on it that we couldn't see. Also they carry older buttons so you can fix your older stuff.
I'm not kidding, this place is odd like no other place. I've gone by the store at midnight, it's open, but it's closed at normal hours! Slide money through the mail slot a sign out front says...
I don't even know how this place is still open, it seems more like a junk store run by a crazy person. If you are out looking for stuff, don't go here, just go down the street another 100 feet to Daisy Drygoods.
I say keep walking down the street. Trust me on this, just do it.
