I get my hair done by Kristi and she's awesome. She listens to what I want done to my hair and perfects it each time. I've been going here for ages and won't go anywhere else. They tend to get busy at times so booking ahead helps.
Ross Dress For Less
I have to admit, I live less than 10 minutes from this location but I would much rather drive to other locations that are further out. This one seems very picked through and not very organized.
Market Street
There are a variety of shops to go to and a movie theatre as well as dining places and some with outdoor patios. They have water taxi rides and much more. Also they have live jazz music on certain nights of the week and scheduled story time for the kids. They are also adding on so there should be more fun coming soon!
Cynitha Woods Mitchell Pavilion
I really enjoy going to various events there with and without the kids. It is huge and kept up very well. However the snacks and drinks at the concession stands will cost you a small fortune so you may want to bring what ever they allow you to bring in and save some money.
Spring Antique Mall
If you enjoy collecting antiques or collectibles you definately want to visit this place. There is a big variety of items there and something for everyone. I myself dont collect antiques but have gone with my mother who does and every time i have gone with her i have purchased something.
Allied Used Auto Parts
I have used this place several times for different vehicles and recommended other people for body work and things of that nature. The prices are incredibly low and the quaility of work was just as good as other places that would have charged double or triple to repair. The owner is very friendly and eager to please his customers.
Ponderosa Elementary School
My daughter attended this school for 2 years before we moved recently and over all i was happy with it. They recently made some additions to the school making it bigger and did some improvements. The teachers and student are all pretty tight knit there like a big family. She misses everyone there and the encouragement that they gave her.
Powell Elementary School
This is the first year for my kids to attend this school. They have an excellent program for PPCD. My son is delayed in speech and some other developmental stages but I feel very at ease with his teachers and the program they have constructed and designed especially for him. And my daughter being new to this school as well has adjusted quite well and i believe it is through the positive re-assuring attitudes that the teachers and entire school promote there. Very happy with them!
St Simon & Jude Catholic Chr
I like this church because it is not too big and not too tiny and cramped up. The cry room is in a convenient location in the church for those times when your little ones get restless. I loved the music and the sermons were plain and down to earth which kept my attention. They also have good programs for the kids and the entire family too!
Accountemps
I worked as an employee with them on and off for a few months and they always kept me pretty busy with good pay. I landed a permanent job through them that gave me some solid experience. They have other areas of staffing besides accounting, they do some clerical and medical billing as well.
