Rainbow's End is just a fun store to shop in. They have a little bit of just about everything! It's truly a "variety shop"...there aren't many of those left around. The service is always friendly and helpful. Rainbow's End is a great place to shop on your way through Caledonia!
Dr. Hart is the best vet we have ever had for our animals. He is kind and caring and has a genuine love for animals. He is very knowlegeable in his field and always willing to help or answer a question. We have been with the practice for about 10 years now and have never had any issues with them. The staff is very friendly and also shows a lot of love to the animals. The prices are reasonable and they are willing to work out financial arrangements with regular clients.
We've been extremely happy with the water softener that we got from Maynard's Water Conditioning. The service has been excellent, from the set-up and installation to the drive-up service when you need to get salt refills. The softener has worked very well for us. We really like how they gave us ALL our options and explained the differences between the models, instead of just trying to sell us the highest priced one.
The Mid-Villa, as the locals call it, is a fixture in Middleville. It's been there for as long as I can remember. The food is good, but the menu could use a little more variety. It's mid-range as far as pricing goes. The homemade root beer is great and the all you can eat fish night is yummy!
Movie Gallery is not my favorite place to rent videos. They display many of their "mature" videos right along side the family friendly videos right on the shelves in their "gallery". They have an "adult" section, but it is also very visible. Many times, the paper that is supposed to hide the offensive pictures on the covers is either torn or completely off the front, which makes it very difficult to shop with children. I mentioned the issue to the (very young) manager, who could have cared less. His response was, "It's a corporate decision. Write them a letter." I did that, but never got ANY type of response.
Their video selection is usually pretty well stocked and their game selection is only fair--but REALLY EXPENSIVE! $6.00 per game (5-night rental).
Dr. Hannapel and his staff are GREAT! They make braces fun for kids! The kids get a t-shirt and tokens they can save up for some great prizes when they wear their t-shirt to appointments and are on time and have their teeth brushed. They have the latest cameras and technology so you can really see what the before and after looks like. I can't say enough good about this practice!
Gymnastics In Motion is a great place for the kids to learn new skills in the arena of gymnastics. The kids are encouraged to press on to higher levels so they can compete on a team with other gymnastic schools around Michigan. The kids really seem to enjoy the activities. They even have open gym on Saturdays that anyone can participate in.
The very small Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a nice place. The pastor is very nice and he accommodates the shut ins with visits, which include a short devotional and communion. The congregation is small, but they are saving to build a new, bigger building.
Well, no one likes to think they need to call a plumber, but when you do, All Flo Plumbing is the one to call. They are very good at what they do and they don't charge an arm and a leg. The service people are friendly and do their job quickly. We have been impressed with All Flo Plumbing.
Faro's Pizza has been around for what seems like forever. The pizza is alright, but their subs are very good. They heat them in the oven so the cheese melts over the top...yum. They are conveniently located on a corner, so it's pretty easy to get in & out quickly. They have a dining room, but we've never eaten in--we've always taken our food to go. They have free delivery, but if you pick your order up, you get a free 2 liter of pop, which is a nice bonus.
