Grandmother's Child Care
We've been using Grandmother's for almost a year now for our 1 yr. old son. They always find someone, even if it's last minute. The sitters are just what they say - grandmothers - who are experienced and kind. Their rates are $9/hr, plus a $10 travel fee. I would refer this service to anyone in need of a babysitter.
Lytle Rieffer
Lytle is an amazing guitar instructor. He teaches you the style of music you want to learn so you stay interested. He can improve your performance in less than half the time of other guiter teachers I've used. He has over 30 years' experience and is a wonderful, friendly person on top of that. He teaches guiter, bass & banjo. If you're looking for a guitar instructor, you will find no one better.
Psi Seminars
I became involved with PSI seminars last December and my life has completely changed ever since. No matter what point you're at in life, this company can make it outstanding if you're willing to take an honest look at yourself. I am SO grateful to Renee Cermak and the other staff for making such a significant impact on my life. Do yourself a favor...start taking the PSI Seminar courses and get absolutely everything you want out of life!
PROS: Self-development, life-changing
CONS:
That's A Wrap
That's a Wrap is a quaint little restaurant in downtown Phoenix. The food (wraps, salads, smoothies, rice bowls) is outstanding and healthy. The owners are always there. Different artists' works are displayed on the wall. Go here for great food!
PROS: outstanding food, great staff
CONS: only open until 2:30 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays
Varsity Cleaners
I used Varsity cleaners for several years when I lived in Iowa City. They always took great care of my garments, and always had them for me on time. They also have very reasonable prices.
PROS: reliable, take care of your garments, good prices
CONS:
Secrest Family Chiropractic
Dr. Dan at Secrest Chiropractic is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He genuinely cares about your overall health and how chiropractic care can help. He takes the time to explain to you what's going on with your spine and the process he will go through to improve it. He does his best to fit you in when it's convenient for you and has very reasonable fees. If you're looking for a chiropractor, I would definitely make an appointment with him!
PROS: accepts insurance, wonderful doctor, reasonable fees
CONS:
Kiddie Kampus
My year and a half old son has been going to Kiddie Kampus for about 6 months. They have had the same owner for quite a few years and most staff have been there awhile also. At first my son was in the infant room, which I didn't really care for too much because, as an older, active baby, he didn't really get a chance to explore or play outside of a swing or high chair. He is in the toddler room now and it is fantastic! Wonderful, friendly teachers & lots of fun activities. Class sizes are relatively small & they read, listen to music & dance, have free play, snacks, naps, etc. The only complaint I have is that they close at 6:00, so could be an issue for parents with a commute.
PROS: Great staff, routine schedule, open at 6:00 am, good rates
CONS: Close at 6:00pm
Uncle Sal's Italian Restaurant
If you want great Italian food, look no further than Uncle Sal's. Quaint, romantic, quiet restaurant; delicious food, friendly staff. I've never had to wait long for food. Service is great. Average price for meal is apx $15. Once owned by Sammy the Bull. Great place!
PROS: delicious food, great staff
CONS:
U.S Nails
I have been going to U.S. Nails for a couple of years now, mostly for pedicures, but also for the occasional manicure. The staff know me, my boyfriend and my son. They are extremely friendly and do a great job. The leg massage they give you during the pedicure is heavenly! The only complaint I have is about their french manicures. I've gotten one there a couple of times and the polish always starts to come off the same day. Good prices. Also offer waxing, massage and facials.
PROS: friendly staff, good prices, several services available
CONS: french mani chips easily
