Danielle Boldon, owner and stylist at Tabu in north Scottsdale is a joy to have as my hairstylist. I found her online looking for someone to do a cut & color. She did an excellent job, and has since done hair extensions for me also. She does only Great Lengths extensions - the best for your hair. She is a wonderful person and is excellent at her job.

Cook N Jacks
This restaurant has a great atmosphere - the walls are adorned with old pictures of Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, and the like. It's a dimly lit, romantic spot with occasional live music. Great place for a date.

Papago Buttes Pediatrics
I have used Dr. Sotelo at Papago Buttes since my son was born a year and a half ago. Even before I had my baby, Dr. Sotelo answered all of our questions and gave us tons of useful information. My son is always seen at his appointment time - we never have to wait. Dr. Sotelo explains everything that's going on, which is helpful since this is our first child. After each exam, he then takes time to meet with us in his office to answer questions and tell us about our son's health. I have been so impressed with the time everyone on the staff takes with us. I never feel rushed, or like I'm asking a stupid question. There is always a doctor on call, so you can call with questions any time of day or night. The doctor also always goes out of his way to squeeze us into his schedule if my son is sick. They also offer Saturday hours for parents that are not able to get time off during the week to bring their children in. The staff is outstanding and friendly, as are the other two physicians in the practice. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone!

Bead It, Ltd
Bead It not only has a great supply of every kind of bead you could imagine, but their staff is friendly & helpful & they also offer classes several times a month to teach different beading styles. Lots of fun!
Grapevine
Even though the Grapevine is a really cute place (all outdoor patio upstairs, cute Greek decor dowstairs), the food is not better than just so-so. The few times that I've been there, I've always had VERY slow service as well, even when it appeared not to be busy in the restaurant.
Rusty Spur Saloon
The Rusty Spur is a small (about 5 tables) little bar in old town Scottsdale. The bartender greets you with a "Welcome to the Rusty Spur!" when you walk in, followed by a loud welcome from all the patrons. Live music by a great acoustic guitar player, singing all your favorties from Willie Nelson & Waylon Jennings to John Denver & Jackson Browne. A fun little place if you're looking for a good time & a cold beer.
Street Beat
We ordered a part for our truck from these guys. Not only did it take forever to get the part in, but when they finally said it was ready to install, I dropped the truck off (they said it was going back to the shop right away) & wasted 2 hrs. downtown while they did the work. At the end of the 2 hours, they called to tell me that the supplier had sent the wrong size part & they would have to re-order, but could probably get it within 2 days - they would call to let us know. They never called, and when we called the, they said they couldn't get the right part for 2 weeks. Again, they said they'd call us when the part was in. A month later they still hadn't called, and countless phone calls & messages later, no one ever bothered to call us back. Finally, when we got a hold of the right person, we scheduled another installment. We took the truck in (it was going in right away again), wasted another 2 hours downtown waiting & went back to pick it up & when we got back to the shop they told us their shop had been broken into the night before & one of the parts stolen was the part for our truck. RIDICULOUS! Over 3 months have passed & we STILL don't have the part they told us it would take 2 weeks to order & install. We asked for a refund. I WOULD NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THESE GUYS TO ANYONE!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!

Based off a review I saw on this site, I tried to contact Paxhost to design a website for me & never even got a response back. If this is the kind of customer service they give, I wouldn't recommend using them.
Elite Limousine & Transportation
If you're looking for a limo, car service, or party bus - don't go to Elite! We hired them for a party bus, and less than an hour before they were supposed to pick up almost 40 people, they called to tell us they wouldn't have a driver for us so they'd have to cancel. After a lot of arguing, they finally ended up giving us 2 passenger vans, but wanted to charge us the same price. Whoever we spoke with didn't want to let us speak to a manager & after the event when we wrote abnd called the coordinator, manager, and owner several times to reconcile, not only did they not apologize, but they never responded at all. HORRIBLE customer service....you couldn't pay me to use them again!

Scottsdale Running Company not only has tremendously amazing service & friendly, knowledgeable staff if you're looking for shoes or other running gear, but they have organized runs every week & will help you train for the Rock 'n Roll marathon. Everyone from beginners to pros...you won't feel out of place.
