After taking a tour I decided to stop in to check out the Bubble Shop. What a great little shop filled with almost delicious smelling scented soaps. You cannot find anything like these soaps anywhere. The lady that helped me was wonderful. I am so glad that I don't have to visit the mall anymore.
Knit on Inc is a cozy little store with character. Apon visiting you will notice a nice selection of yarn and other knitting and crocheting accessories. Located in front of a bus stop and on street parking you can not miss it! The staff was friendly and helped me with the right amount of scanes for my project.
I remember Beachs from when I was a kid. My mother bought our vaccum from there and had it serviced there too. They sell sewing machines and service them as well. Located on the corner of 7th and Monmouth streets. They have a small parking lot on the side of the building. They have very friendly sales people and appreciate every customer. I take the time to go to Beaches instead of a chain store.
WIth not too many bikes shops around Newport, it's not hard to spot this one. RIght on the corner of 8th and Monmouth street. They do repairs and sell bikes. They also sell a variety of other sport items like skateboarding equip. The people who work there are nice and helpful. They help you pick out what is right for you and the amount it will be used.
PROS: About the only one around here!
The best library to visit by a longshot. You can surf the web on different floors and look up you family tree. Read a book or attend a class, listen to music or rent a movie. It's great. The librarians are so helpful and know what they are talking about. Located next to a bus stop and easy to find. They even have a drive thru!
PROS: Convienent location. drive thru, rent movies and music
I went on an interview at One Force Staffing and was actually disgusted at how dirty it was. From the outside it has a few dirty busses and broken down vehicles. The inside was unorganized and dirty and smoky. The people were rude and dressed kind of sleezy. I really would not recommend going to this temp agency.
CONS: Dirty Smoky Rude Not professional
This is another place that has good deals on tires. If you have a small car you can get like four tires for 99 dollars. I got a great deal with them on tires for my last car. They also do brakes and all kinds of other mechanical work there. I reccomend them for your auto problems.
I noticed Jillo's and decided to walk in to see what it was like. I asked if I could get a trim of the dead ends on my hair and what they would charge me. The woman was kind of rude acting as if she didn't feel like doing it. She said she was about to close soon but she supposed she could do a quick snip on my hair. I turned around and said no thanks. I walked out and never looked back.
N2U reminds me of a borics or something like that. Even though the hair stylists are nice and know all of the trendy styles, I still don't feel like they're a real hair salon. I like it when the person cutting my hair has been doing it for like 10 years or more. Overall, they are nice and reasonably priced.
I think that Deb's does have pretty cute clothes but mostly in smaller sizes. I didn't see much in plus size clothing. The clothes are trendy and they have nice accessories there too. I do buy some accessories there but that is about all I can fit into from that store. The staff seems nice but they really don't make much contact with you if they know that they don't have your size.
