This gym is located in Aggieville and although smaller than some of the other health clubs in the area, it has a lot of up to date and high tech equipemtnt and I have never seen it overly crowded. Since I work in Aggieville, I have a free membership, but the rates are not too expensive and their on-staff personal trainers are unbeatable.
This place offers aircraft charters as well as private flight lessons. I went through them to get my pilot's license and was very pleased with the way everything turned out. I received personalized attention and was able to practice in many planes and in many different situations. The instructors were great and the prices were super affordable.
This place rents out equipment and goods of all sorts. It is interesting because you can rent heavy machinery here such as lawnmowers as well as construction and moving equipment. They also rent out party supplies for weddings and anything else. They also carry speccialty machines such as cotton candy and sno cone machines. They have very reasonable prices and rent out the goods for daily, weekly or even monthly rates. The weekend rental deals are particularly great.
This is an interesting store in the Manhattan Town Center that carries Kansas themed merchandise which pretty much boils down to stereotypical Kansas things such as the Wizard of Oz themed things and anything thing having to do with the University of Kansas or Kansas State University. Ironically, they also carry University of Nebraska themed goods, but I really have no idea why. They also carry different foods that are made in Kansas and a whole lot of John Deere merchandise.
My girlfriend gave me a spa package here for my birthday and I enjoyed it so much! They gave me a massage, hand and feet treatments and a facial. They did not act wierd around me or judge me for being there since I was a guy and they understood that I wanted to be massaged by a women and would have felt uncomfortable being touched by a man. The experience was great and I cannot wait to come back again for some more services!
This is the only pet store in Manhattan that specializes in exotic animals. The staff here is great in that they make sure to educate the people buying the exotic pets, and will not let them buy the animal unless they know it is going to a good home. They have many types of exotic animals that call the store home including Coati's, a Camen and an Alligater Snapping turtle. They offer small pets such as hamsters and guinea pigs as well as dogs, cats, fish and reptiles.
This shop does not look like much from outside, but inside they stock numerous motorcycles, both new and used as well as a motorcycle repair facility. I took my moped here because it was leaking gas and they fixed it the same day I brought it in. The service, prices and people here are excellent.
This sporting goods store is in the center of the Aggieville shopping district. It has been located here for a long time, so the store looks somewhat worn inside and out, but this only adds to its charm. They have sporting goods such as swimming, running, soccer and work out apparell and accessories. They also carry KSU merchandise and offer custom screening and iron on t-shirts, which are really cheap.
This furniture store is about a five to ten minute drive out of Manhattan. They offer affordable room groupings - including the large pieces such as a sofa and love seat as well as the end tables and coffee tables. Usually you can pick up an entire furniture grouping for the living room here for around $1000. The pieces are okay quality and the choices are pretty generic, but they are great for this price range, much better than what you would get anywhere else.
This computer store is a great place to shop for computers and personal electronics if you are either a student or an employee of Kansas State University. It is located in the student union. They have tons of IPODs and IPOD accessories as well as computer accessories. They offer an employee and student discount as well as technical support services. They also special order Dell and Apple computers.
