Les Amis
They have such great stuff for something a little different and funky. They have different sizes in the back and are best to go when they are not busy. Their clothes are unique and fun. Parking is a little challnaging but there are a few pay lots if there is no street parking free. The store is small and funky, but everytime i wear something from their, i get a ton of compliments. The store is helpful with "pairing" items as well. The dressing rooms are tiny but there is a large mirror in the store.
Annie's Art & Frame
Annie's Affordable art is the best in the city. The framing is not inexpensive, but everyone who works there is so helpful and their truna round time is within a week. Parking is provided i back (pay lot or meters) but there is generally parking in the area. The staff will let you browse so let them know when you need help.
Capers
Capers is great for fun acessroies, dinner parties, etc. Their furnitre is pricey but great stuff. The W. Seattle store has a beeter selection than fremont, but both are fun to look around. They also have a great little cafe in the W. Seattle lcoation where they have a fabulous creme soda. The store is full of fun little acessories. They are a great place to find gifts or fun additions to your house. The staff is friendly but sometimes lacks a little knowledge on all the products. The atmosphere is funky and you can normally find street parking, but might have to circle around a few times.
Belltown Nails
Good manicures and pedicures. Prices are fair and they take reservations. Parking is limited but it is a good walking location, especially if you live/work downtown. The chairs are comfortable and it is easy and fun.
Verite Coffee
The cupckaes are fantastic. They are a fabulous option instead of wedding cake. They can be made in multiple flavors and can have different decorations. Ballard is so fun and you could get a cupckae and then walk next door to the Majestic Bay for a movie. This place has chracter and in the summer, they have outdoor seating. There icing literally melts in your mouth.
Volterra
Great atmosphere and food! The service was friendly and it is a fun new addiiton to Ballard. I would highly reecomned this place. Reservations are taken. The seating is very nice in the back room as you can seat next to a window. The front area is a little croded but still enjoyable. The restaurant is nice, but still has a relaxed feel and the arugala salad is to die for.
