We bring our dog here for a grooming and nail trimming frequently. The groomers handle animals very well and the facility has a very relaxed setting. There is a nice area where the dogs can walk around if they please and cages for those that might not get along well with others. The facility is clean and well maintained. It costs about $25 for the full grooming and they often give us discounts for being return customers. The parking is ample and they are never booked solid, although I usually notify them in advance.
I usually bring visiting friends and relatives here as an inexpensive day trip in the country. The museum is located on several acres of beautiful countryside. It used to be a glass factory in the 1800's and has a lot of interesting history. The museum is only $3 to tour and has a lot of really pretty decorative and functional glass pieces dating back 100 and even longer. Everyone is always impressed with this museum and loves the scenery.
They sell very beautiful hardwood furniture here. I purchased a kitchen nook here a year or so ago and received several compliments on it. The furniture is a little expensive but they do have a clearance section. The workers are very pleasant and they delivered my furniture for free. They have some really nice cedar lined trunks here as well. At the end of the school year they usually give a little memory box to the highschool students. They have a convenient corner location right in town.
I have been here several times over the last few years and I am always very impressed by the beautiful waterfalls and the miles of trails looping up along the mountainside. You can get some really nice views of the falls from the falls and this is a great place to go during the summer months. They have a really nice lake and you can rent peddle boats pretty inexpensively to take out. The whole day out for a family of four here will cost less than $50. They have a picnic area so it's nice to bring your own lunch and eat at the park.
I have gone here several times for haircuts because I think they do really good work and the prices are reasonable. It costs $22 for a haircut. They listen to exactly what I want and are happy to review photographs of the styles I like. They have done a pretty good job matching the sytle I have in mind. The girls are very pleasant and also make good recommendations for my hair type. They also specialize in styling and I have seen several nice jobs done here.
I really like the selection and layout of the furniture in this store. The store itself is hard to miss- it has a huge red chair on its roof! I bought a living room set here recently and the transaction went very smooth. The pieces are a really nice quality and seem like they will last for a very long time. They also have bedroom furniture, dining room and other pieces all nicely displayed throughout the floors of this store. Some of the decorative pieces are neat too. The prices aren't too high. I paid about $2500 for my entire living room set and the wooden pieces are made of solid pine. The salespeople were helpful and the delivery was quick and efficient.
They have a lot of nice inspirational and religious gifts here for all types of occasions. I often buy the books here for myself because they carry titles that are hard to find elsewhere, such as "Whites Crossing". They carry a variety of bibles here as well. They have a very nice array of inspirational wall hangings, ornaments, statues and crosses. I have bought a couple of Christening gifts here for relatives and they were always impressed with the quality and beauty of these items. This is a very nice store and it is always a pleasure to shop here.
I've had my hair cut here a couple of times, and I was pretty satisfied with the end results. They didn't cut as much as I wanted but overall they were pleasant and did a decent job. The waiting area and salon itself is very bright and cheerful. It costs a bit more than I usually pay for a cut here, at around $25. They also have other services available here, such as manicures, pedicures and spa treatments but I haven't tried any of these yet. I wouldn't have a problem going here for any of these services because the facility seems very clean and well cared for.
I rent my videos here because they are much more reasonably priced than the other local store and the Blockbuster. It only costs $3.10 per rental currently and they have all the newest releases. Sometimes you have to wait for a newer release because they only stock a handful of each title at a time. They are over a dollar cheaper than any other local rental place though, so I will continue to give them my business.
This is the only local movie theater, which is the reason why I go here. The tickets are expensive at around $8 each for a small local theater, with cramped seating. The floors are usually sticky, and they don't have stadium seating. The sound quality is good enough and they usually have at least five move titles playing at any given time. The snack bar is also average and contains everything you would expect to find at a larger chain. My biggest complaint is the uncomfortable, cramped seating. It can also get really crowded in the summer with camp kids.
