This is one of my favorite restaurants! It doesn't stand out as you drive down Alma School Rd in Chandler, but it's worth finding! (South of Galveston, north of Chandler Blvd) The calzones fill half the plate and you'll probably have to take some home, or share with a friend while you're there. You can choose your own fillings and I love to get a side of alfredo sauce for dipping. They have a big selection of calzones, pastas, sandwiches, pizza, salad. Evidently they have a sundae on top of a chocolate chip cookie, not that I've ever had room left to try it. They do also have a kids' menu. It's a very casual dining experience and you can order to go as well. I highly recommend trying this place!
PROS: delicious food, good prices!
CONS: long lines at lunch hour unless you get there early or late
This location must be fairly old, as I've seen other Savers that have a better, cleaner atmosphere. But this one is the closest and we always find great deals here. You can find name brand clothing at unreal prices. My kids enjoy finding shirts that are unique and you can find sports/karate uniforms there too. It's a fun place to explore, easier than going around to garage sales. It's handy to drop off your old stuff and then stop in to check out some new stuff. There's always something on sale and occassionally they have 50% off days, those are crazy busy! They always have lots of stuff, sometimes it doesn't seem like the huge store even has room for all it has on display.
PROS: Great deals, name brand clothes, unique items
CONS: the store really needs a good cleaning
This Safeway has recently undergone a remodeling and looks very nice, new, and clean. I have to say that Safeway employees are almost always the friendliest of all the grocery store chains and I shop around frequently. You can't beat their deli pizza deals on Friday! A large cheese pizza is $5 and it should feed a family of 4. THey have other varieties for a dollar or two more. I also like the Safeway brand soda, they have a wide variety. Produce is dependable and their bakery and deli items are good too. The Safeway brand frozen veggies are some of the best I've ever had and they're frequently on sale. I haven't had any problems with parking or waiting in long lines at the checkout.
PROS: Quality foods and pretty good prices
CONS: I'm not sure if they double coupons
Right now this is probably one of the best places to get gasoline. The yearly membership fee is reasonable, especially if you have a business or family. They carry quality items and frequently have samples. They only accept cash, checks, debit (I believe), and American Express. It's a great place to get ideas for Christmas, and just about anything you'd need for your home you can find here.Their rotisserie chicken and deli pizza are great. If you get too hungry you can stop at their snack bar area for a meal at a low price. It's usually an enjoyable shopping experience until you realize how much you've spent!
PROS: great deals
CONS: location is not real close to home, parking is crowded
This is the closest Albertson's to me which is the only reason I return. They also have a great deal on video rentals M-Th $1 each, so I find myself returning. Probably half the time I shop at this location I end up back at the service center after the checkout doesn't price something correctly. They seem to miss many of their ad items and they don't get rung up right at checkout. Produce signs can be misleading, as items are combined and you can't tell what is what unless you really take your time and look at PLU numbers. The seafood/meat department usually has a pretty strong odor, not sure if there's much they could do about that. Overall it feels like an older store and sale items are sometimes understocked. I do like using their gas station at the corner, it's usually one of the lowest prices in the area. This location is at the SE corner of Ray and Cooper.
PROS: good deal on videos and gasoline
CONS: expect to be overcharged, get your money back at the service desk
It was amazing to walk into this place. The playground area is huge! You won't believe how high they can climb! Of course first you have to pay, and it's not cheap. The thing I don't like is that parents have to pay regardless of whether they play or not. If you sign up for their kids club you can get your kid in for free once, and then again for their birthday and a free t-shirt. Parties there are very expensive. The kids will love to climb, but it is VERY hard to keep track of where they are and they can seem lost in the rainforest at times. There are a few arcade games and a snack area. It's an interesting place to take your kids. Bring a book to read though, once they get up in that tree you won't see much of them. Parking was fine and the location is easy to find.
PROS: very cool playground, like nothing I've ever seen
CONS: expensive and boring for parents
We purchased a new vehicle here and found our experience pretty pleasant as far as buying a new car goes. While you're wheeling and dealing they have a nice play center for your children. I think they treated us with more respect than many other dealers we went to, and we ended up coming back a few weeks later to make a deal. If you go with Mitsubishi financing make sure you sign up for the auto-pay right away. We ran into a problem when an echeck was posted to some else's account and working with Mitsubishi customer service with that situation was very unpleasant.
PROS: willing to deal, treat you well, play center for kids
CONS: buying a new car is always stressful
I really like going to Sears auto at Chandler Fashion Center. They are helpful and dependable, you can watch them as they take care of your vehicle thru a huge glass window next to the waiting room. The waiting room is very nice, or you could take a little stroll up to the mall if you have a while to wait. The prices are fair and they offer occassional specials. THey do a nice job of keeping the interior of your vehicle clean too. I trust them to perform a good repair job or service and they don't push you to do extra work.
PROS: location, price, dependability
CONS: sometimes the wait can be long if you don't make an appt.
I've only been here to use their service department for my Chevy. They strive to do their best and provide quality customer service. You do have to schedule an appointment if you want anything looked at besides an oil change, which is done in a seperate shop area. They've been good about providing accurate and fair estimates on repairs. They have a very big and nice waiting room, including a semi-private area for kids to play and watch tv. There is also a shuttle service. I really feel comfortable going here for service.
PROS: Convenient location, shuttle service, large waiting room, quality service
CONS: You can't get something else looked at when you come in for an oil change
I've taken my vehicle in here a few times. I always feel like these guys know what they're doing and are very honest with their diagnosis and repairs. I first when in when I was told somewhere else that I needed to replace my alternator. Pep Boys tested it first and told me it was fine, there were some loose connections on my battery and that might have been causing the problem. They could have easily done and charged me for the new alternator. The location is right in downtown Chandler. The waiting area could use some cleaning up but the quality service makes it worthwhile.
PROS: Honest diagnosis and good service.
CONS: Waiting area is a bit dirty and small.
