Main Street Artist Gallery is a wonderful place to see up and coming artist as well as established artist. They sell their paintings and scultpure here and though most of it is priced well out of my range- I enjoy looking at it and browsing. I have bought at painting there that I fell in love with and will always treasure it. The staff is very friendly and will explain the art and tell you about the artist if you ask.
Park Bingo is a large bingo hall that once looked like it was a large store or theather. They are the closest bingo place to my house and we go there a lot because the cards are a good deal and the payouts are high in comparison. The place is very clean and very bright (which is important to be able to see the cards). They do have a small snack bar and you can get drinks and such there. The prices are good. They do have a very large parking lot but go early so you can get a good seat.
I was just there yesterday and the stuff will probably be different tomorrow. They have so much stuff and it is all brought in by the different booth vendors. They rent a space and can fill it with whatever they sell. Some of the booths are antiques or old books and some of the booths might be candles or purses or craft items. You just have to wonder up and down the rows to see what each person has. They seem to change their booths around a lot -- so if you don't find anything- go back in a week and their will be different things. They also have a nice store in Duncanville.
We B Divin is a small dive school in North Richland Hills. I went to see about taking some more diving classes and was shocked at their prices. Their pool is also small too. I wasn't impressed with the facilities but I do know they offer swim and CPR instruction as well as lifeguard training and such. The pool is a good size for that but not for a dive school. The instructor who showed me around just kept talking about the trips to Mexico they take- not about the dive school.
I went to Able Electronics to just browse and see what they had to offer and the staff first asked me what I was there for. "can't you just browse??" I said that I was just looking and I literally never saw them again. I did see some good prices on a mouse and a keyboard and did end up buying it. They do have some hardware and accessories that are priced well but I think they focus in on computer repair.
Mustang Elite is the best car wash around. They are new so maybe that is why they have the best equipment and my car is SPOTLESS when it comes out. They hand dry and when you get the works, they vaccum out the inside, do the windows, the interior, everything. I have been so impressed with how clean they can get even the dirtest cars. They also do oil changes and when you get an oil change you get a basic wash for free. And their basic wash includes more than some of the middle line washes at other car washes.
Discount Tire is the place to go for tires. They are the best in the area. Their tires are priced the best and they even have a board when you walk in comparing their prices to other places in town. Also you get free alignments. I just take my truck in there and they do a alignment - no money - nothing - as long as I bought the tires there. The staff is friendly and will work with you to help you find the tires that fit your car or truck best.
My friend locked her keys in her truck and we called B&B to come help pop the lock or tow it to her dad's. We called them about 8 pm and they didn't show up until 9:15pm. They even called us back on our cell phone three times for directions- you would think tow truck drivers would know directions especially since we were in a very well known area of the city. They did come out and pop the locks very quickly once they got there and found us. But the price was very high and the driver was somewhat rude.
We always go to City Garage for maintenance on our cars and we are always greeted with a friendly hello. They might not be as big as some of the other garages around but they know what they are doing and take extra care with the cars they work on. The whole staff has been very nice and they don't try to pressure you into buying extra stuff or having extra things done to your car that you don't need. Their prices are very good too- they seem to run average to below average to the other places in town.
We took our truck in to Traffic Jamz to have the stero installed and ended up getting an alarm put on also because the service was so great and they really were very quick with the installations. The techs are very nice and explain all they have to do when they are going to install something and when they were done, you couldn't tell a bit that the system wasn't the original that came with the car. They are a little high but for the type of work they do and how quick they do it- they are worth it. Check them out if you need radios, alarms and such installed.
