The company I work for uses Eradico to come to their building every month and make sure there are no serious pest problems. The guys who come in are really friendly and they get what they have to get done without getting in your way or bothering you. They do a really great job for a low cost. I believe they even come out and spray trees for bugs. Another service they offer is to come out and hang up all your christmas lights, sounds funny because they are a pest control service, but they do offer it. It'll save you the trouble of having to get out there and do it yourself, I plan on hiring them this year.
I go to Whirlyball for are work christmas party and it is a riot! The game is played on a basketball size court, enclosed in a room with clear walls so everyone can watch. The objection is to score goals by throwing a wiffle ball into a little hole on a backboard(It's somewhat difficult). You are not aloud to use your hands, but instead you have to try and scoop the ball up in some kind of scooping mechanism. It sort of resembles a lacrosse head. Making it even harder your teammates, your opponents, and yourself are all driving around in electric bumper cars! It's a fun game to play, and also to watch!! It's great for parties too!
C.J. Barrymores is so much fun for everyone because they have so many different things you can do! There is a bar/grille that serves pretty decent food, and drinks that are always good. You can go and play arcade, pool and laser tag in one area of the building (which is huge). You can go outside where there is go-carts, rock climbing, volleyball, miniture golf, balloon fighting area. They also offer a area where you get in a harness and jump really high on a personal trampoline - it's really cool. If you want a day of fun and excitement - I suggest you check out CJ Barrymores.
The Detroit Science Center is a great place because it is fun, educational and very interesting. They usually always have something going on, like a special theme (one time they had dinosaurs that moved, kids loved it). The Imax Dome Theater is amazing! The seat reclines and everything around you is the whole movie, it's really something to experience. The only thing that sucks is that you have to pay admission to get in, then extra admission for the Imax theater, extra admission for the planterium (which is awesome), and then extra admission for the music studio exhibit. Besides that it really is an enjoyable place to learn about things and to have a great time.
Royal Oak Golf Center is a great place to take the family to play miniature golf. It's really a lot of fun! They have large mountain formations and waterfalls and different obstacles at every turn. The price is decent - $6.00 adult and $4.00 kids. They also offer a driving range for the more serious golfers. The driving range has some heated and covered tees so you can play year round.
Morley Candy Makers offers free factory tours but advance registration is required for a group guided tour. Buy you can also go and do a self guided walking tour anytime from 9-3pm, Monday thru Friday. They have a 70 foot glass observation hallway where you can see the candy makers at work. The best part is they offer FREE samples! The also have a candy shop with a huge variety of different kinds of hard candy. It's a great place to take the kids!
This place is the best Pad Thai restaurant in all of the Metro Detroit area! There meats are high quality and the vegetables are always crisp and fresh. The place is decorated to look high class, so it's great for a date, or you can just go casual with the family. There's a large menu to choose from, if you like spicy food like myself, you gotta try the Massaman Curry with chicken, it's excellent! If you have someone who doesn't like thai food, have them try the Apple Salad, my girlfriend always gets that, she loves it! Also, make sure you try a bubble drink - the lychee is my favorite - you won't be sorry!
This is a great place to go and get a bite to eat, and some drinks - either with the family or the guys. The food is fantastic, especially there chicago style pizza! I would recommend that to anyone and everyone it's so good. The drinks are priced right, not too expensive. They offer a pool table, jukebox, pinball machines, air hockey, and even video games. If your looking for a good time, check out this bar & grille.
When you pass Dynamic Flowers on the street you'll notice they have very nice displays outside - and they many more inside. This flower shop is close to Beaumont Hospital, so it's very conveinent to stop here if you need something uplifting for a someone in the hospital. I used this place when my girlfriend was in the hospital, having our baby, and they made a beautiful arrangement for her - she was amazed at how nice they were! They also offer hay and halloween decorations in the fall. The prices are reasonable and the service is always friendly.
The Detroit Institute of Arts is a great place to go if you enjoy nice pieces of art. They offer paintings, graphic arts, antiques, furniture, sculptures - you name it, they got it. They also offer a nice gift shop, full of many different things. The building has a lot of remodeling going on, so I'm sure it's going to look really good when it's done. They offer programs with music on Friday evenings, it's really enjoyable, you should go check it out. Parking is conveinent and there are lots of restaurants to chose from close by.
