Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre
Zorongo produces very nice shows, and for Minnesota it certainly does something fresh and different. I dont know if theatre is too big of a word for this company since it doesnt have that many participants, but I guess its not regulated. In Zorongo performances it really shows that dancers of very different level take the stage, there is clearly a teacher and students (that makes them look not all professional company). Not that anything is wrong with that, just an observation. Zorongo is worth watching.
Theatre de la Jeune Lune
Jeune Lune is one of my favorite local theaters. This one is always different and challenging, yet it has something for everyone (at least judging by the crowd). It has a very intimate and unique layout and beautiful acoustics. Make sure to sign up for their mailing list to keep track of everything the theater offers.
Fitness Crossroad
This would be the perfect gym for someone who is looking for a small, very clean, quiet, well-equipped club with super-friendly staff and good group classes (including kids group classes). This gym has anything one may look for in a health club, except for the pool. All the equipment is in perfect condition. Towel service is complementary, and so are lockers. Im very impressed with the service so far.
Three Sons Kitchen
I can't speak highly enough of my experience with this caterer. We had a wedding at Blaisdell Manor (the venue they own) and everything was just beautiful. Our guests still keep talking about how good the food was; but most importantly, this vendor is very easy and pleasant to work with, reliable and responsible. Employees are just superb. Highly recommend for any occasion.
William Clark Photo
Bill Clark does only wedding photography, and he knows what he is doing. He is very helpful, easy-going, attentive and so not-in-your-face - you even forget he is there!
We chose his services because he was the only photographer in our price range who didn't tell us what to do, but actually listened to what we want. We had so many nice pictures to chose from, just amazing. He really goes an extra mile to make you happy.
Archiver's
This store has the best selection and great service. They have stuff others dont carry; I was looking for wedding albums and accessories everywhere and this was definitely my one-stop shop, and prices didnt bite. Ill be going back.
I think Archivers offers classes and social gatherings for those really into scrapbooking, too. Also, make sure to sign up for their newsletter coupons are an added bonus.
Mall Of America
Mall of America is a must-see for everyone visiting MN. I think it's good for "experience", but not that great for shopping - too big and too busy. Entertainment is not bad though, with the movie theater, night clubs and many restaurants. This mall has become a tourist destination by now.
Underwater Adventures
This attraction is a great fun for children of all ages (just make sure no one in your family is claustrophobic we found out the hard way). Can't beat the shark petting zoo! The big disadvantage is that , as Mall of America attraction, it is severely overpriced look for coupons.
Cheapo
Not as cheap as its name suggests., it's a great place if you have plenty of time to dig and nothing specific in mind. I found some great stuff there by spending over an hour at a time in the store. Staff is not very helpful, but friendly. If you are looking for a specific thing, Ebay is still your best bet.
Surdyks
Surdyk's is one of my favorite wine stores. I have to limit how often I go there, because I don't remember leving with less than 10 bottles of wine, ever. Staff is so helpful, sometimes I wonder how they manage to taste everything and still be able to walk in a straight line :) Sales don't hurt either. Highly recommend.
