Bordine Nursery is located in Clarkston, on Dixie Highway, just north of I-75. This is one of four locations in Southeast Michigan. The others are in Grand Blanc, Rochester, and Brighton.

Bordine's has an incredible selection of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers, as well as all of your other landscaping needs. The staff (easy to see, as they are all dressed in purple shirts) is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They know everything there is to know about each specimen that they carry.

Farmington, MI Art Supplies 09/02/05: 'Friendly Service'

This store is one of the great new stores in the Farmington area featuring really cute jewelry made from high quality glass beads. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and approachable and won't hesistate to engage in conversation on just about anything going on. The store has a large selection and will do custom pieces to your liking! A must see for any guy shopping for a special girl in his life.

This store basically has everything but the dress. Lots of veils, jewelery, tiaras, guest books and on and on. I ended up buying my wedding day jewelery here and it was made by a local artist. I've gotten tons of compliments, even from people just looking at our pictures. If you are having any trouble finding anything wedding related, stop by this place! I also had my dress professionally cleaned through this store...everything was quick and as promised.

Lavdas Jewelers

I have used Lavdas quite a few times in the past for jewelry, it is a great store with a huge selection, the owners and staff and knowledgeable and nice, the prices are really unbeatable, I have friends who swear by Lavdas. the hours are convenient but they have one downfall in my opinion (which might not bother others), they have three locations, two in Warren and one in Greektown, the locations just aren't in the best neighborhoods, one is in the mall and the other two just aren't in neighborhoods that I feel that safe in.. the one location I will go to is the one in the mall but I hate walking around and/or out of the mall after making a large purchase.

Gramophone is a premier audio/visual specialty store in the area. It only carries top end equipment and their prices show it. If youre looking for high end and dont care to haggle on price Gramophone is the store for you. It has great displays and friendly/helpful sales people. If money were not an issue for me I would definitely purchase from there.

Canton Computers Inc

This computer store is really expensive on the parts that it sells. You can get the same part at ebay or another store for 50-100 less. The only good part is the game room . They have a game room over LAN where there are lots of computers set up for you to use. The price is like 8 bucks per hour. So its not that bad but thats the only good thing avalible.

Carl's Golfland, located on Telegraph Road, north of Square Lake Road, in Bloomfield Hills is the areas best golf pro shop and driving range. With a full line of golf clubs, men's and ladies' apparel, and accessories, there isn't anything that you won't be able to find at this beautiful store.

Carl's also offers lessons for beginners to advanced players and just recently completed an extensive renovation of the driving range. I can't say that the lessons that I took helped my game... I'm just a crummy golfer. ;)

The staff is friendly and helpful. Their hours are convenient and they are open year round.

Dearborn, MI Used & Rare Books - Dearborn, MI Book Stores 09/02/05: 'Good Bookstore'

I stumbled across this store when I first moved to detroit four years ago. I still go there at least once a week to check out new books. I've yet to find a used book place that tops it. Aside from the great staff, the prices and selection are truly impressive. If I'm looking for something and they don't have it one week, chances are they will within the next month.

tHE MEDICAL BOOK CENTER IS A FANTASTIC BOOK STORE. IT CONTAINS MANY MEDICAL BOOKS, MEDICAL BAGS, OFFICE SUPPLIES, DVDS, VIDEO TAPES, AND CDS. THIS BOOK STORE IS GREAT FOR ANYONE IN THE MEDICAL FIELD. THERE ARE A FEW DISCOUNTS. THE STAFF IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FRIENDLY. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK STORE TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
