This Meijers has steadly declined in quality and service in the past few years. With the new self-check out service, you are lucky if you find 5 "normal" lanes open. There are always workers in the aisles stocking the shelves, which is great, but they are always in the way. They leave the product in the middle of the aisle. Since the opening of the new M6 Meijer, I very very seldomly shop at the Wyoming Meijer although it's much closer to my house.
My sister got married in April 2005 and used Sunnyslope Floral for her flowers. They were gorgeous!! I can not say enough how beautiful her flowers were. Everyone was complimenting her all night about how bright the colors were, how beautifully arranged they were, etc. I got engaged in August 2005 and I already know who will be doing my flowers for my wedding.
I leased a car from Todd Wenzel Pontiac back in June 2002. My lease was up at the end of June 2005. I went back to find a new car and ended up getting another one there. Phil, my dealer, was very nice and friendly. My leased car had a few items that needed to be fixed prior to turning in my car and he had their service dept fix them for me with no charge! I did have a terrible run-in with one of their dealers. I called the GM and expressed my issue. I hope it was taken care of but have not followed up on the issue.
I went to the Mud Room in March 2005 for a shower for my sister's wedding. All of us girls have such a great time. We went on a Saturday and it was surprisingly not too busy. There were so many options to chose from that it probably took us well over an hour before picking out a piece of pottery. We weren't able to finish out pieces by their scheduled close time, so the lady graciously kept the store open later while we finished out pieces. Everyone had a great time and loved their pieces. We will definately be back soon!
I stayed at this hotel in September 2005 for my fiance's bday. We came to IL for a Cub's game, so we basically only slept and ate there. When we walked in to check in, we probably had to wait about 5 minutes before we were served. I'm a patient person and don't mind waiting, however there was no one in front of us and the desk clerk never acknowledged us. The room is your typical Embassy Suite room. There was nothing that stood out for the positive or negative. We missed the manager's reception but did attend the free cook-to-order breakfast. It was fabulous as always!
I would recommend this hotel and would probably visit again if I was in the area.
Take your pick of what's more important: Clean facility vs friendly staff. For the past 4 years, I've chosen the clean facility. I've gone for primarily only tanning. The employees are all younger trendy girls who tend to be friendly to fellow trendy younger girls or good looking men. If you happen to not fall into one of those catagories, you get second rate service. However, they do feature great clean tanning beds. I've never had a problem with the quality of the tanning bed which is why I'm going, so I've remained a customer. My packages have expired and I doubt I'll return this time. I'm sure there are other tanning salons which will provide me with clean quality tanning beds AND friendly service.
I stayed here in September 2005 while attending a wedding in Muskegon. Therefore, we basically only slept and ate at the hotel. The hotel was ok. The staff seemed friendly. The breakfast was good -- typical Hampton Inn breakfast now meaning continental breakfast with hot items. The rooms looked dated. Our bathroom had some cracks on the counter and in the tub. The beds haven't been raised yet to the new Hampton Inn standards. I would recommend this hotel if you are in Muskegon but it's not the nicest Hampton I've been to though.
This hotels looks and feels it's age which I hear is about 18 years old. It has the old style elevators where you have to shut a gate behind you before it will operate. It has an outdoor pool. The room I stayed in, I believe use to be an old closet. It was TINY!! The breakfast was nice as it is dicated by Hampton standards. I would not recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a Hampton hotel in GR, I'd stay at one of the other two.
I recently stayed at this Hampton Inn and was WOWed by it's great staff and beautiful rooms. You can see the owner / management company puts money into this hotel. They offer a great free breakfast in the morning which includes hot items. The downside to the hotel is it's off the beaten path. Once you know how to find it, it's quite easy to get to though. All and all, I'd say this is a great hotel to stay at in the Grand Rapids area.
Many people don't know about Arbor Lake because it is a small community. Yes, they are older apartment buildings but they have done a good job at keeping them clean and in good shape. The ladies in the office are very friendly. It's a great apartment complex to look into.
