A & B Muffler Shop
About two years ago we took my wife's Hyundai to A&B to get a new muffler as the check engine was on and it wouldn't pass inspection. We took it in early one morning and within two hours the shop called and asked us to come back. I figured the worse case scenario and expected them to tell me it would 500 bucks to fix. I was shocked when we arrived and they told me that it was just a 5 dollar part that was out and that they weren't going to try to sell us a new muffler. I am still shocked at the honesty shown that day.
Collegiate Barber & Style Shop
This is barbershop is quite an experience. I have been going here for more than 5 years now and have always left with a great haircut at a great price (10 bucks). These guys really know the business and they don't try to keep up idle chitchat if you are in the mood. Plus, you can't beat a good old straight razor shave. I can't say I experienced that before moving to Lubbock.
Pet's Plus
Pets Plus is pretty much like any locally owned pet store. They do have somewhat of a limited selection of food and supplies, but they also carry some interesting items as well. I know when I went to the store about a year ago they had prarie dogs that you could purchase as a pet. I have to admit that is pretty original. The staff is very friendly and are able to answer most any basic question you ask.
Burkholder Duncan M MD
My wife has been seeing Dr. Burkholder for 3 years now and she couldn't be happier. I had the pleasure of going to multiple visits during her pregnancy with our daughter. Dr. Burkholder and his staff make you feel comfortable in the office. He is always willing to sit down and talk about any concerns you might have and never makes you feel like he is rushed, which I am sure he is in reality. I would recommend Dr. Burkholder to anyone asking.
Covenant Medical Group
Doctor Guetersloh came highly recommended to my wife and I before the birth of our daughter. She has turned out to the best pediatrician I have ever dealt with. She has some of the best bedside manner, which Im sure is difficult when dealing with small children all day long. She also takes time to make sure the parents are informed of child development landmarks. She is one of those people who always makes you feel welcome.

Just about a year ago I had to have an emergency appendectomy. I arrived in the emergency room and was placed in a room in just a matter of minutes. There I was evaluated and quickly admitted to the hospital. They were able to determine the problem is a resonable amount of time and once that happened I was taken to surgery, where Dr. Santana perfomed the operation. With their quick action I was back to normal in just 2 days.
United Blood Svc
I have been donating blood since I turned seventeen. I have gone to many different blood donation events and have had the opportunity to experience many different collection services. United Blood services is a good group with a good staff. The last time I donated I was working for Texas Tech and had Sarah(if I recall correctly) drawing my blood. I think that was the best stick I have ever had, as she got the vein on the first try and didn't have to dig at all. Overall, they are a very professional group.

I have been going to the University Family Physicians for 5 years now and have never been disappointed. My personal primary care physician is Dr. Jack Dyer and he is possibly one of the best general practicionars I have come in contact with. The staff is also great here, helping to file insurance correctly and keeping wait times to a bare minimum. I think the longest I ever waited was 30 minutes during flu season.
Covenant Diagnostic Imaging
Approximately two years ago when my wife was pregnant with my daughter I had the pleasure of going with her to an appointment at the Diagnostic Imaging Center. Once there she had her first ultrasound. The tech doing the ultrasound was great, taking the the time to point out what we were looking at as it was our first time to view an ultrasound. Anymore it is hard to find good bedside manner, but this in one group that excelled.
Rustic Range
This was the first range that I ever went to and I still continue to enjoy it to this day. I used to be out there every weekend shooting my Remington 870 on their trap range. The staff is always helpful and when I was having a bit of trouble zeroing my rifle in one day, one of them came out onto the range to assist me. This is a great open air shooting range.
