Pediatric Associates

We take our sons to the Kirkland office and have been very pleased with their services. Their doctor is Pi-Lin Chang and she is awesome with them. She always makes them comfortable and takes the time to explain everything that she's doing for them. The boys don't even seem to mind going to the doctor which surprises us, because who REALLY likes going? They always let us sit in on the examinations, and answer all our questions and concerns.

Evergreen Home Health Svc

We have had to take our sons to the emergency room a couple of times, for migraines, and an foot/ankle injury, and I have had to go from a bad sledding experience. Every time we have gone it's been the same, we have been seen very quickly, and have been treated with the very best, most commpassionate staff. It's a very clean and well run emergency room.

PROS: clean, great staff, very fast and efficient
CONS: construction has caused parking issues

Ye Olde Curiosity Shop

Yes this place is full of oddities and cool neat things. It's a great place to find that unique gift, or to just look around and see all the strange things that I'm not even sure how to describe. Kids love coming here and always seem to get a kick out of squishing a penny. It's a big part of Seattles history and it's been here for what seems like forever.

Vacu Man Furnace & Air Duct Cleaning

Have you ever ran your furnace or air conditioner and just had this stale yucky smell coming from the vents? Well we did so we called Vacu Man and they came out and cleaned our vents and air ducts and performed a service check on our furnace. I'm sure glad I didn't have to try to clean them out, lord only knows what could be in there!!! Anyways, it smells a ton better, and it wasn't that much to get it done.

The Floor Smith

We went to these guys on the recommendation of a friend and found that we were glad that we did. We had visited several other stores looking for some new carpet for our living room and den, and found that most stores seem to have very similar carpet, that is until we tried the Floor Smith. We were able to find something that we liked right away and they installed it the very next day. They did a very good job and we are very happy with the results.

Cosmopolitan Kids INC

This is a very well run daycare that's somewhat hard to find in Seattle anymore. It seems like all the good daycares are full and have waiting lists, but when we found this one we were surprised to be able to get right in, which was amazing because they are one of the best that we've seen. They do all sorts of activities and games with the kids. The ladies that work there are super nice and helpful. We were really nervous about leaving our son, but they really eased our concerns and he really likes going!

Asr Therapeutic Massage & Spa

If you are looking to be pampered and feel completely totally relaxed, then look no further. From the moment you walk in, they take your things and store them for you, give you a robe to get into and offer you something to drink. The treatments are nothing short of amazing, and will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. A little spendy, but I'd say it's worth it.

Feral Cat Project

This business is under the wrong heading as they do not have pet supplies or shops. What and who they are is a totally non-profit, run by volunteers and donations, wild cat spay/neuter program. They have been operating since 1997 and have already spayed or neutered over 13,000 cats. If you talk to them, they will tell you the safest ways to catch feral cats and where to take them to get the free spay/neuter. Awesome people, and a great cause.

Jake The Plumber

Some friends of ours came home from work one day to find that the plumbing under their upstairs bathroom sink had corroded and flooded not only the upstairs, but ran throught the ceiling and out the light fixture, flooding the downstairs too! Jake's went right to work fixing the problem and then was extremely helpful telling them who and how they needed to talk to about the insurance problem. What they thought was going to take forever was completely repaired and covered by their homeowners insurance within a month!

PROS: very fast, quality workmanship

Twice Sold Tales

If you love cats and books then this is a great store for you. I recommend anyone that comes to Seattle check this place out as it's one of the coolest book stores that we have. Where else can you go and curl up on a chair with a friendly cat and do a little reading? Even late at night?!?! This place is full of charm and character. Her prices are great for stocking a book collection.
