Forest Park Market

Forest Park Market is now known as Champion Supermarket. They have not been around all that long, less then 2 years but, they are a decent supermarket. Especially if you are looking for good deals on meat. I have found their prices in the meat department to be one of the best around. The employees are all very nice there as far as my experience has been. My only complaint would be the fact that they do not allow you to bring your shopping cart out into the parking lot. In fact, they have thick poles surrounding the store that are just small enough in width that your cart can not fit through! While I do think this is a pain, I guess I can understand why they do it. To prevent people from taking the carts. After all, they are an independently owned store and don't have the budget big chains do. Overall, I give this store 3 stars for being satisfactory.

H & K Insurance Inc

I had H & K Insurance as the insurance provider for my car so it was only naturally that they would be my first stop for insurance when I was buying a house. I got a price quote from them that I thought sounded a little high. After I did some searching, I found their quote was extremely high! By shopping around I was able to save a ton of money. While the people that work here are nice and helpful and I had no problems with them while using them for car insurance, I would recommend shopping around prior to agreeing with their homeowners insurance quotes.

Nuggets

This has been a favorite place of mine for a while. They offer a wide selection of CD's, cassettes, Records and more. Some of which you likely would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. What makes this place even better is that they will buy your old CD's, cassettes and records! There aren't too many places around that will do that anymore. The prices and atmosphere of this place is excellent and the employees are wonderful. If you are ever in the Kenmore area, I highly recommend checking this place out.

James A. Garfield School

My children attended Garfield school for a few years before our move to a new city. This school is by far, a world class school. When dealing with the teachers here, you defiantly get the feeling that they want their students to succeed. The school itself is just gorgeous. One of the biggest elementary schools I have ever encountered. It is complete with a full size gym, indoor pool and well kept classrooms. If you live in the area and send your children to this school, you will not be disappointed.

Southwick's Zoo

Southwick Zoo is located in Mendon Mass which is a bit of a hike from me but well worth the drive. We took the kids here this past summer and really enjoyed ourselves. The grounds are well maintained and this is a pretty decent sized too. With not just animals but some rides for the kids, this place is like no other zoo I have ever visited. Admission can get a bit high depending on how many people you are bringing but, I was able to find discount coupons. Overall I would rate this as a great place to check out and a neat experience for the kids.

Brenner Disc Super Party Store

If you are looking for party needs of even if you are into doing crafty type things, this IS the place to be. The store is pretty big in size and offers a wide variety of items. What ever special occasion you have coming up, you are sure to find the supplies you are looking for (and great prices you wouldn't expect) here!

Braman Termite & Pest Elimination

When we first bought our home we were told that the previous owners had a small bout with termites and had paid for a contract with Braman Termite & Pest Elimination. By the time we had closed on the house, the contract still had a year left to it which we got to take advantage of. Well, Braman has truly done their jobs as professionals. Since moving in my home two years ago, I have not seen a single termite. They come to the house every few months and check the bate traps just to make sure everything is alright. I am really very happy with their service.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical

Both of my children were born at this hospital and I have to say, I was very impressed. The Doctors and nurses here are nothing short of world class. Very caring, understanding and truly helpful. They were ready and willing to help with any questions and never made you feel like you were "just another patient". I highly recommend this hospital to anyone and everyone.

Cash Converters

Cash Converters is a great store if you are looking for an item that you don't mind is used and want to save yourself some money. From TV's to video games to computers and jewelry, they have a little of everything here. You can also sell your items to them as well which I have done once. They offer very fair prices.

Concord Toy Shop

Alright, so it is not anywhere near as big as the chain toys store but, that is what adds to the charm of this toy shop. A very nice selection of higher end toys that you might not find anywhere else. Prices can be a bit high but, you get what you pay for- quality! The fact that it is located in such a wonderful town like Concord just makes it all the more worth while to visit.
