If this is your first time in Vegas then I would say check it out just to say you had been there and seen "old Vegas". The light show and music is pretty good and for the price (FREE!) it is quite a bargin!
Very informative and a great place for some excellent pictures. Very much worth the drive if you are visiting Las Vegas. If I had it to do over again, I don't know if I would have taken the tour however. A bit short for the price ($10 pp). I'd suggest just paying the $5 for parking, walking the dam and taking pictures yourself.
I wouldn't bother going here. Its at the end of the strip near the Sahara. Although it is large and carries a big selection, they are over priced. There are plenty of places on the strip, including the CVS and the Walgreens, that have the same or better items for less money.
PROS: Its large
I have stayed at this hotel twice while in Vegas and there are some pros and cons. First the pros: the location on the strip is EXCELLENT. Walking distance to all the major hotels no matter which direction you go. Also, there are a few cheap places to eat inside here (just stay away from the buffet!). The hotel prices are very decent too considering the location. The cons are the hotel rooms themselves leave a lot to be desired. They could use some updating. The last time I stayed here I was not that happy as I was put in the older part of the hotel towards the back parking lot which is not even attached to the major part of the hotel. All that said, you wouldn't be spending that much time in your hotel room while you are in Vegas so, if you are just looking for a place to crash, this hotel will do the trick.
PROS: Excellent location, great prices
CONS: Could use updating
Fun & Games is a great place to bring the kids on an Sunday afternoon, or any time you want to give them a special treat. There are a ton of video games and midway type games as well where the kids can win tickets to put towards prizes. Some of the prizes require a lot of tickets but the good thing is, the tickets never expire so you can save up for that special something you have your eye on. My son and daughter always enjoy themselves here and I think your kids would too!
PROS: Lots of fun
I had purchased my car from Bertera Chrysler and within the first month was having major problems with things that should have been disclosed to me at the time of purchase. After some negotiation, we did finally reach an acceptable agreement in how to resolve this however, because of this I am not sure I would ever deal with them again. Kind of sad because during the whole buying process, I was very happy with them. I am just giving them a so/so rating because if not for the problems I had after buying the car, I would have been very happy but it is nice that they were willing to work with me to get my issues resolved.
A few months ago I had gotten a rather large crack in my windshield from a small pebble hitting it on the highway and I needed to get the whole windshield replaced because of it. Jn Philips was very professional and best of all, very quick in making the replacement for me. I was very happy with their service and I would recommend them to anyone in need of having this type of work done to their car.
PROS: Great service, very quick
Savers is a thrift store but in my opinion, not very thrifty. Although they do tend to carry some nicer, higher end items, the prices can be a little steep. Even for items that are very much used (show a lot of wear). Not to mention I have had to deal with a rude employee a time or two. Don't get me wrong, sometimes you can find a decent deal here, just not as often as you would hope.
PROS: Some higher end items
CONS: Steep prices
Recently I had visited The Party Warehouse as I was looking for some unique decorations in which to use to decorate my childrens bedrooms. This store had an excellent selection! From pirates to palm trees they had something for every theme! Best of all, their prices were great and everything was so well organized. I would highly recommend visiting this store if you are looking for unique and fun themed items.
PROS: Great selection, nice prices
The Franklin Park zoo has to be one of my favorite zoos to visit. There is plenty to see here to keep you busy for hours including lions, birds, zebras and more. The zoo is rather large but the scenery within the the zoo is wonderful as it is very well kept. Admission is pretty reasonable as well which is always a plus. When you are done checking out the animals, there is also a very nice playground for the kids to enjoy as well as an area to buy food and drinks. Although not in the best area of town, once you enter the zoo you almost seem to forget where you are.
