A huge assortment of athletic shoes [running shoes, hiking boots etc.] as well as clogs for every season, winter boots, cute and comfy sandals. They are very helpful and if you time it right, you can hit an end of season sale, otherwise it's quite expensive. But they ahve super cute clothes as well, not just athletic wear. But even their ski clothing and surf stuff is just so cute, it's hard not to spend a LOT here. They also sell bike racks, hats, head lamps, tents, pretty much anythign you might need for an outdoor adventure. And there is always someone available to answer my many questions!
I cannot even think how to start this--the chocolate is to die for... turtles, chocolate covered bananas, chocolate covered oreos, chocolate chunks. All of it GREAT. A perfect way to end a day of indulgences! In case you are trying to keep the sugar at bay, you can get sugar free candy and chocolates or coffee here too, but why? The chocolate is so good--and if you are on vacation, you should indulge!
This is not a gallery, it's for pot paraphanalia [spelling!]. However, there are some funny things to check out in the store, but don't go thinking you are going to see some famous art!
TONS of used furniture, much of it from high-end homes. However, the initial prices are VERY high. If you can wait about two months, the prices come down to a reasonable area for used furniture. BUT if you wait, you might miss the piece you covet.
They might get you there quickly, but their driving is terrible. Whenever I see a Vail Valley Taxi near me, I know to let them pass otherwise they will ride your butt and are not very safe. However, if you need a ride, it's good to have a taxi company to call at all--but since they are the only operation, you can be stuck waiting for a while if you want a ride after a long night when a lot of other people are needing a ride home too.
Thurston has everything and great customer service too! They seem to be about the same price as the large big box stores, but the workers care about their jobs and make great recommendations and are super helpful. They even offered to come measure our kitchen for us. They will work with you and YOUR budget instead of making you spend more than you want.
As most properties in Beaver Creek, this one is truly lovely. The service is impecable and the rooms are heavenly. It's fun to be up in Beaver Creek, a true Colorado resort! I have worked with them booking large groups whose dates change at the drop of the hat, and they have always accommodated and never dropped the ball, leaving guests standing there without a reservation. Easy to work with.
They have really good food and quality customer service. HOwever, if you get their food a lot, they do not have a huge variety of foods, or maybe they do have a large variety but after a while it all seems to taste the same. However, I usually get their prepared and ready to eat stuff, and not the lasagnes and other dishes that you cook at home. I like it mostly for their salads and sandwiches and homebaked treats. It is an expensive catering company, though.
They have tons of Christmas/holiday stuff in this store, and it of course, always smells delightful! It's a tiny shop pretty much packed with holiday wares--he also sells sweet almonds that are roasted (yum). If you like Christmas throughout the year, this is the store for you, I can wait till December to get my dose usually. Spotty service.
Great little store! All sorts of great stuff, fun cards, photo albums, invitations, fun books and knick knacks. And if they do not have somethign in stock, they will order and you will have it in just a couple of days. I custom order invitations for several parties a year and if they have problems with their supplier, they let you know in advance instead of making you stress that the invites are not in. They do custom wedding and other party invitations too. They always have a smile on their faces too!
