Victorian Park was the first mini-golf park in the area to feature man-made waterfalls and caves to go with beautiful landscaping and a putting course that is challenging but without windmills and clowns. It's the kind of course that kids, adults and actual golfers can enjoy. Victorian Park also has a small arcade and an ice-cream shop. Make sure you bring mosquito repellent.
Foxco is a family and recreational bicycle dealer that also carries a few high-end, full suspension, and road bikes. Foxco deals exclusively the Specialized brand, one of the "big three" among bicycles along with Trek and Cannondale. While they do not deal other brands, they may be able to perform some serivces, though they do not carry a large stock of parts for other brands. They will also assemble other brand bikes for a fee. Foxco has a great selection of parts, accessories, bike racks, and gear, and they are always a pleasure to deal with. Service is great, and Foxco never performs services that aren't needed.
Coughlin has been my insurance agency for over ten years. They have competitive rates and excellent customer service. When registering a new car or transferring plates, they go to the registry for you, saving time and aggravation. Having unfortunately been in several accidents, I can also tell you that Coughlin handles all the paperwork to help minimize the red tape in these situations and get a timely payment for repairs.
This is a great concept! I love being able to have dinner and a movie at the same location. I have been to the Pelham Chunky's about 5 times and have had great service everytime. The service isn't the quickest but you don't really notice since you are busy watching the movie.
5-6-7-8 Dance Studio is an excellent business located on Lakeview Ave in Dracut. My nieces have taken dance classes with 5-6-7-8 for many years. They really like the instructors and have learned so much about dance in that time. They take tap, jazz, ballet, and modern dance. At the end of the year 5-6-7-8 has a huge recital at Lowell High School with multiple shows. The students put on a great show and have a wonderful time doing so.
Nice dual 18-hole course ("Prairie" and "Jungle") with a real-grass driving range, putting green and spectacular pro shop. The Prairie course (5800 yards from the white tees) is a little more wide open and hilly with only a few hazards. The Jungle course (6300 yards, white tees) is challenging with fairway trees, bunkers and 10 holes with water hazards. The driving range is a huge semi-circle of real grass, much better than the artificial turf you find elsewhere, and it can accommodate a couple dozen golfers - including lefties - at a time. The putting green is pretty large as well. Greens fees and driving range prices are reasonable.
The Lowell Lock Monsters are the American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes. These are players one level below the NHL and they're working hard to earn their spots, so this is some excellent hockey. They play in the beautiful Tsongas Arena in downtown Lowell. The best seats in the house are only $18 ($10 for children 12 and under). Compared to going to Boston, it's a real bargain. Louie the Lock Monster is a kids' favorite. Overall, a great, affordable night for the whole family. One note of caution, the arena seats are pretty tight for big fellas.
We've gone here many times. We LOVED all the animals and ran around like crazy looking at the goats, chickens, and bunnies. Recently, the goats had babies, and they are adorable! It's so beautiful here. Lovely landscape. Picnic tables to have a snack or lunch. And the ice cream? Incredible! We had a blueberry sundae, and it was delicious. Very fresh. The farm stand had fresh fruit, flowers, jams and jellys, and some fresh baked breads. Make sure you call ahead if you want to pick your own fruit....it varies.
Looking for a REAL treat? Need a gift that's a little different? Want to treat someone else? Check out Mrs. Leonard's Candy Store. Most of the items are handmade, including the heavenly fudge (varying and seasonal flavors) and the chocolate- and white chocolate-drizzled popcorn. You HAVE to try this popcorn. If you aren't amazed, you need to have your taste buds checked. Mrs. Leonard's also carries manufactured candy products, like gummy worms, etc. Summertime and year round, Mrs. Leonard's also carries ice cream handmade at Richardson's in Middleton, commonly known as some of the best ice cream in New England. A little pricey and worth every penny. Check for them on the web and find their board of fare and a few valuable coupons.
This place is great! We went there recently and took my 2 1/2 year old. He loved the ice cream (fresh, homemade, and HUGE!). He also tried the driving range. The place was clean and the grass was super soft and green! The staff was really friendly too.
