Recently visited the new and improved zoo and was not too impressed! First of all it wasn't cheap! There were bees everywhere so you couldn't eat lunch or go near a waste can. There were a lot of kids groups but they were really poorly supervised, I wish the zoo would plan better for groups. There was plenty of parking but not ona paved lot. Next time it's the Washington D.C. Zoo for me since this one was not that impressive. Even the kids were not real impressed with the zoo which says a lot!
A visit to Baltimore is not complete without going to the harbor where you will find Harborplace & The Gallery. There are great restaurants here and lots of neat stores. When it's warm you can eat outside and watch the boats on the water. Some of the attraction include the Science Center, Aquarium and the Constellation. The parking is terrible since you have to wither hunt down a meter or overpay for a garage. The crowds tend to be huge in the summertime but don't let that deter you from going.
Another mall whos hayday has passed. Not worth going out of your way for. The best thing going for this place is that there are a lot of government employees who work in the area and patronize the mall. There is a JC Penny and a Sears but even they seem to somehow be cold and unwelcoming. The eatery has become very ethnic as have some of the shops. There is always plenty of parking and if you want to catch a movie there is theater located behind the mall. Skip this place and go to Towson Town Center of Arundel Mills.
There used to be a time when this was a really great upscale mall where all the well to do folks would head out to shop. In recent years it has been slowly going downhill and there is no end in sight. What can you say about a place when they need to hire security officers to watch over the patrons. The mall has a descent eatery and even a sit down restaurant. The anchor stores keep changing so you never know who's moving in or out. There is plenty of parking and it's accessible by public transportation. On the weekends it gets pretty busy so go early!
I have thought on quite a few occasions that this place would be shut down. Even a snowstorm that brought the roof down couldn't close this place. Now the original operator has come in and is reconstructing the mall so that there are no interior stores. There is no longer a food court so don't go there hungry. There are however plenty of fast food places and restaurants within waling distance. The movie theatre behind the mall has a new owner but there have been no changes made to renovate the building. The best thing about the mall is the Kmart which is connected to an auto shop where they are honest and do good work. Don't go out of your way for this mall.
This mall has a movie theater, a food court and some nice anchor stores. It's not real big but since changing it's name looks better and has attracted nicer stores. What I like best is that they have local sports figures make apperances and around holiday time offer gift wrapping and help with shopping ideas. The mall tends to be overrun with teenagers on the weekends who basically just hang out but that's to be expected. The mall is easy to find and there is always plenty of parking. You can usually find what you come for and more.
This mall has it all with lots of stores both regular and outlet. The eatery has a nice mix of fast food and sit down fare so both kids and adults will be happy. Jillian's, an arcade with several restaurants, a bowling alley and billinards is really fun to go to especially once they kick the kids out after 9 pm. There is a huge bookstore and an outdoor store where you can spend hours just looking. The movie thater is very large and modern and can host really nice birthday parties. There is a Mideval Times restaurant which is expensive but fun to go to once in a while. The parking at this place is a mess and if you go on weekends be ready for really large crowds.
I love the magazine selection at this shop. One whole wall of the store is just magazines so you can find whatever interests you. They also carry some books, lots of greeting cards and collectibles. There are great seasonal items and once the holiday or season is over they go on sale. Great selection of ornaments but those don't go on sale too often so you have to buy what you want when you see it there. They often have raffles for nice prizes. The staff is always nice and helpfull. The store is easy to find and there is plenty of parking.
This place is only open a few days a week so you have to plan when you're going there. The parking lot is always packed and you have to watch out for the drivers so you don't get ran over. The food is great! They have a wide variety of meats, both prepared and raw as well as desserts, and packaged items. If you like chicken wings or need a rotissirie chicken for dinner stop by this place. Also pick up some fresh bread and a dessert for a great meal.
I went there to get a tv. I knew what I wanted and found it quickly. The price was not what was in the ad so I walked to the next aisle and to my surprise found the same tv for a cheaper price. I retrieved a sales person to help me get the tv. He looked around for a few minutes and found the model at the top of the rack. Off he went to get another guy. He came around and sent me to get a cart. He pulled down my tv and I was off to pay for it. The tv rang up for the higher prices so I showed the cashier the display with the lower price. She keyed that in and I used a gift card which made this tv set well worth the price. She didn't push the extended warraty which most places do and a guy helped me load it into my car. I was really happy with this store. This store is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. I went during lunch time so there was plenty of help.
