Just A Taste

Ithaca, NY Spanish Restaurants 09/04/05: 'Tapas Bar'

Just a Taste serves Tapas style restaurant with a small restaurant atmosphere. They have a wide selection of wine and their wine sampler is a good way to try many different kinds. The food prepared very well and does not burden your wallet too much. This place is great for a family gathering or for a date. Located conveniently in Ithaca commons, it is very easy to find.

Pangea

Ithaca, NY French Restaurants 09/04/05: 'Great Restaurant unknown by most'

Pangea has everything. Great atmosphere, great food, and great service. This restaurant's setting is very charming, and we were seated outside under the stars. The wine, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all perfectly done. Service was also exquisite. This restaurant is great for special occasions and dinners for two. Highly recommeded!!!

Hong Kong Restaurant

Ithaca, NY Chinese Restaurants 09/04/05: 'Not as good as it used to be'

Hong Kong is in a great location within collegetown, and used to have great lunch specials. Over the past couple years though their prices have gradually increase and the portions have decreased. Hong Kong is still a great place to get a cheap lunch between classes, but do not expect fine dining. The restaurant is very small and mostly crowded. They do have great egg drop soup.

Nines

The Nines has great live music, with many different local bands with a chance in the spotlight. The Nines is a great place to gather a group for a few (or many) drinks. Their Pizza is especially famous around Ithaca, and is sent from the kitchen via a dumbwaiter. Go for the food, stay for the music.

Kabul Afghan Cuisine

Seattle, WA Vegetarian Restaurants 09/04/05: 'Interesting Place, to say the least'

Kabul is my first Afghan dining experience, and I must say it was a good one. Kabul is a small restaurant with a GREAT atmosphere, with live music and a large assortment of beer. The food was also very intriguing, similar to Indian cuisine. The worst part of the restaurant was the menus, which were a little bit confusing. Price range is around $15 - $20.

Salmon House

Seattle, WA Seafood Restaurants 09/04/05: 'Restaurant overlooking water'

Ivars (one of many in Seattle) serves some great fish and chips. We went during happy hour and the HH specials were very good. They have a good selection of beer on tap and a great bar atmosphere. The restaurant is right on the water, though the I-5 bridge is in sight and ruins the view a bit. The food from the bar was good. I did not get a chance to dine in the actual restaurant though.

Cedars Restaurant

Seattle, WA Restaurants 09/04/05: 'Great Experience and Great Food'

Cedars restaurant is located a block away from the corner of University Ave and 50th St. The restaurant is always pack and it creates a great dining atmosphere. The food was very flavorful, some of the best Indian food I've have in Seattle. The entrees are in the $10 - $15 range, so it is a great deal. The only complaint I have is that since they were so busy, it took a long time for them to seat our party of 5. Otherwise the dining experience was almost perfect.
