This is a great place to go by yourself or take your kids! They have a wide variety of bisque which you choose from - all vary in prices, then for a minimal fee you get to paint them in the store . When you are done you leave the bisque there to be fired and collect it about a week later. It is great to make gifts for grandparents - that you child can personalize. They also run childrens camps and evenings for woman or groups to go paint.
This is a nice sized christian book store in old town mcKinney. It is a quaint shop with lots to offer. The store has a great variety of items for lots of special events - Christenings, communion etc, . Some of the items are pricey but overall it is not too expensive. The store is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Their array of Bibles is large and many for children.
I have heard that this is apparently the pace to purchase cakes for any occasion. They are located in the McKinney historical district. When I visited the store I noticed that they did not have a wide variety of cakes to purchase in passing, it seems as though most of the business is done by placing orders for an event. The cakes are pricey for what you are getting but the cake is very tasty.
A central place to go ice skating with the kids or to take a break while out shopping! The ice skating rink at stonebriar is located in the middle of the mall so you always have an audience. The rink is open to the general public a couple of hours a day and the prices seem fairly reasonable. They have a good selection of skates and also offer ice skating classes for all ages. There is a section where you can sit and watch and they also have some food stores close by if you need a bite to eat.
This is a new place in Mckinney and is a great place for a young childs party. They have something for the young and older children - a large play space where you can bounce in three or four different houses and then they have a smaller area for the younger children who might be afraid of the bounce houses. The room for the cake and presents is large, clean and bright. Their prices are very reasonable right now and a good deal for birthday parties.
This was my very first baseball game experience since moving to the states. The stadium has so much charactor and a wonderful atmosphere and is wonderfully laid out. It is very clean and has lots of space - you dont feel like you are on top of each other. Parking is plentiful and not too expensive, or you can park at the mall and walk across the road to the field. Refreshments are plentiful but fairly pricey. The only downside for me was that you could not bring in your own water unless it was a specific name brand.
This fun placxe for kids and adults alike is relatively new to Allen and is a wonderful addition to this great town. This indoor swimming and fitness center comprises of a large indoor swimming pool , a gym and the best of all is an indoor swimming play ground which is a hit with all the kids. There is a play set in the water with tubs of water that dump on you and a lovely big lazy river that seems to be the hit with all the kids. You can also do swim lessons here and host a kids party - they have party rooms available for hire. The price is very affordable about $3 and worth it for a few hours fun. You can also get a membership for the family.
This is a great place to take the family and a wonderful place for great photos. I have visited here in the spring and fall and they both have their own beauty. There is a great area for the kids to explore little old homes which are decorated as they would of been many years ago. A garden for the children to water the plants etc. You can buy lunch there or picnic if you choose. In the fall they have a pumpkin patch area and a hay maize and rides. Price is reasonable for a days outing.
This is a little gem in the middle of Allen. It offers superb lunches at very reasonable prices and the selection is wonderful. The food is healthy and you can do a number of different combinations. The atmosphere is welcoming and they also have a nice deli on one side where you can purchase meals to take home. They also do pick up.
A great place to introduce your child to dance if they are unsure what type of dance they would like to do. If you are looking for traditional ballet and have a young daughter then this is not the place as they do tap and jazz at the younger age. The teachers are great and friendly. Pricing for the classes is good but the recital, although not mandatory is expensive.
