Berkeley, CA Shoes & Boots 09/04/05: 'Nice shoes, not so great prices'

The location is great for students (located on Telegraph), and the collection is pretty good. They usually get better stuff than your normal footlocker/footaction, but the prices are not that attractive, and they rarely put stuff on clearance.

Berkeley, CA Shoes & Boots 09/04/05: 'Great shoe store with decent prices'

Ok, if you are into shoes, especially nike/jordan stuff, this store will be perfect for you. Usually they get all of the GRs(General releases) and some limited editions(like the Vday dunks/AF1s). The prices arent too high either. And their clearance section is full of good stuff. Easy to find, easy to get to, this is a good alternative to the other sneaker shops in Berkeley.

Ned's Berkeley Bookstore

Berkeley, CA Book Stores 09/04/05: 'Good alternative to ASUC for Berkeley Students, Ned's'

Right across the street from ASUC on Bancroft, there's Ned's bookstore for your college textbook needs. Prices are mostly similar to ASUC, but sometimes you will be able to find new/used books at a lower price. Usually, their collection is more complete than that of ASUC and their costumer serivce is satisfactory. You can also find coupons for the store in the "Good life in Berkeley" guide. Overall, this is a pretty good place to get your textbooks with little hassle.
